Temporal Knight chapter 5 . 12/26/2017 This is VERY good so far. I admit, I'm a fan of this ship even despite the squick involved. The UST throughout the game really doesn't help the case for something along these lines NOT happening. That said I only really figured out that they had likely skipped destroying the Siphon about the middle of Chapter 4. It's nice to see that I was right! It's also be a while since I've played the game so I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I completely forgot they hadn't realized they were father and daughter until after Liz Ascended - for lack of a better word. So, the massive freak out at the end of this chapter honestly surprised me for a moment cause I thought she'd known since the beginning and just hadn't cared after they started sleeping in the same bed. Now I'm curious is Booker knows in this timeline yet. I'm also intrigued to find out if THIS Elizabeth is a splinter of the main version or if they are connected or...and now my words fail me since alternate timelines and alternate selves tend to lose a lot in the transition from 'mind explanation' to 'words on the page explanation'. Especially when said alternate is basically a demigoddess of the multiverse... You've done a fantastic job of depicting the way that Elizabeth views the world and the tears and the alternate realities/paths. Honestly, that's half the reason why I have never dipped my hand into this fanfiction subset myself despite badly wanting to. The only real criticism I have is that I think you could go into a tad bit more detail concerning the romance as it's heavily background for the most part. Great work so far and I'm looking forward to finishing this! |
anbina chapter 8 . 9/8/2017 Fascinating work - well-written, emotionally honest, truly dramatic. I would love to read a book written by you, youre a splendid writer. Thank you for this story! |
Lupus Macbeth chapter 8 . 4/17/2017 interesting, very interesting overall though also highly confusing. which is kinda the norm for bioshock stories to me honestly. but eh still i can recognize that this was a good one. thank you for writing it. |
Lupus Macbeth chapter 2 . 4/17/2017 mm interesting. quite enjoying the story thusfar. very good work. |
HeyiyaIf chapter 8 . 11/18/2016 I just had to read it again. I so really, really REALLY like it. |
h34rt1lly chapter 8 . 10/28/2016 I love how this is AU but you kept their relationship the way it is in canon. As much as I appreciate Bookerbeth without that aspect of their relationship, it's STILL there, and seeing the way you incorporated it here, made it such a vital part of the climax of the story, made me equal parts happy and disturbed - but in a good way? Also, characterization is on point. I love this so much. |
Joeyvin chapter 6 . 12/8/2015 I've only read a fanfiction that's left me this satisfied once. I loved Bioshock Infinite, it was awesome and really thought provoking. The ending kinda sucked though. When Booker just dies and it ends. You've managed to make a well done story that could be seen as cannon. I literally can't complain about this story. It. Is. Amazing. I went on fanfiction after ending Bioshock Infinte to look for something that could fix the story. You've done that. This is honestly amazing. Thank you for making an awesome story that still works with the Bioshock Infinite storyline. |
Nachtt chapter 6 . 12/7/2015 still rreading it! rather sad to see so little interest in this fandom in general :/ Elizabeth and booker are amazing chaacters. |
Guest chapter 1 . 4/6/2015 please keep this story going |
Black Phoenix Risen chapter 4 . 3/21/2015 Your writing displays not only an admirable devotion to the source material, but also your knowledge of history, philosophy, and theoretical physics that made Bioshock as kickass as it was. The time jumps feel very fluid and the sex scenes are pretty tasteful, all things considered. I really get the sense of what you're doing: showing us the real tragedy of such a doomed romance between two people who deserve to be happy, who deserve each other. This is a real gem of a piece and I'm really shocked it hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves. Well done and keep writing. |
Suffering Soldier chapter 3 . 1/31/2015 It's a very well-written story, though Booker/Elizabeth is unpopular for apparent reasons. It hasn't been stated outright, but I presume their relationship has been altered isn't paternal. At any rate, what's there is interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. I see a lot of continuation stories that are fairly lighthearted, but it's nice to see one that kept the gritty, ”live with your choices" tone from the game. I like that. |
