![]() ![]() ![]() Great series and a very satisfying end! There are a lot of authors on this site who have started working on Mass effect series but were never able to keep the standard going through all three games and either left the work incomplete or started a re-write midway. But you have been able to not complete works based on this epic franchise but you were able to add so much extra content that not only added to characters personality but also give extra insights on their perspective to multiple issues. Absolutely loved this whole series and now looking forward to read your spin on the Citadel DLC. Thanks for this story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Liara's fourth comment here jump down halfway through BTW this may sound ridiculous but please don't use "Cuz" in dialogues I mean if the characters are texting each other is fine but it's weird to see "Cuz" in a talking line |
![]() ![]() ![]() Fantastic story |
![]() ![]() ![]() This isn't a fanfiction. This is a book. Scratch that, I have read books shorter then this. 1402 pages. And well done. Kudos |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just from this first chapter, its obvious this is a well-written and thought-out work, and that is precisely what I'm seeking. I enjoyed the look into Shepard's psyche and how he views the world. It's always interesting to read how others head canon their Shepards to fit into the world. I also love the research you put into what you've written. Interesting insights into how Shepard views Anderson, James, and Alenko. An interesting take on chapter notes, making them as much a part of the story by writing them from Liara's perspective. Don't think I've seen that method before. Kudos for introducing a new method of doing notes, at least so far as I'm concerned. Again, great introductory chapter. I do love well-written and thought-out projects. |
![]() ![]() ![]() First let me say that i have loved reading this series a whole lot. That being said though this whole chapter felt like such a massive cop out too me that it completely ruined the chapter. I say that because I'm in the minority of people who actually loved mass effect 3's original(extended) ending. I loved how there was no "good" or "happy" ending and have developed an irrational irritation for people who complain about the parts I loved about it and propose "better" endings. All that being said though this was still a well written chapter, I just didn't like what was in it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The alternate ending you choose wasn't bad, but it could have used some foreshadowing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Bit of a late review, but I just want to say that this was a real good ride-and a whole lot less contrived than the ending Bioware gave us. If you don't write anything else, I'll understand, but the world will be poorer for it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like what you did with the ending there. Great job overall with this series of stories. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You're doing a good job with that mess of a storyline. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Long overdue review, as I read this like a week and a half ago. This was a fun little retelling of ME2. I notice you weaving more of your setting's unique tweaks, but doing it with a much defter hand than in your earlier works. The romance choice wasn't much of a surprise, given all the "Chuck" references, but it was fun, nonetheless. I loved the working dates and the rescue of Orianna, particularly. I do have a question: "TAHOTG", Shepard comes off as exclusively Paragon, but I'd swear a lot more of the smaller Renegade choices are taken in ME2, primarily whenever Cerberus was involved. I also remember seeing mention of Shepard's obvious scarring sometime around the middle. Are we looking at a more Paragade Shepard this time, or am I mis-remembering things? |
