Songs of the Hunters is a nice continuation of this storyline. While it doesn't quite live up to its predecessor, it still certainly is a nice story. It started a bit slow but the addition of the leaf-eater children was an interesting development. The stories themselves also became more compelling as the story progressed.

The interactions interactions between Biter and his friends were nicely made as was the meeting of Seeker and his sister. It surely was a shock for both them! It was also quite funny to follow the Pack struggling to fight against their instincts as soon-to-be parents! The comedy and reality worked very well together as a dinosaur's instincts and "human-like" thoughts are without a doubt hard to fit together. The last song was tragic but "even hatching could be dangerous" and I found it to be a strong and touching chapter.

The prelude to the ending was quite thorough and the that extremely complicated situation was very cleverly built. One deadly misunderstanding is already difficult to solve but many of them turns the meeting quickly into a disaster. But the resolution to it seemed a bit... easy. Also, the reunion of the the Pack with their families could have been emotionally stronger. They were pleasant to read but I think those scenes could have been even more compelling.

One thing I'm really impressed is the emotional depth you can put into most of the new or minor characters. Characters like Axiom, Datum, Sauria and even Armo were almost instantly absorbed into the story and even if the last one was just a visiting character, I could really feel his pain. As in the the original story, your handling of the victims' emotions is superb. On the other hand, some of the new Valley dinosaurs or Verda weren't as compelling as most of the other characters.

Songs of the Hunters is a worthy sequel to the Seven Hunters even if it has some flaws with pacing and the plot wasn't as great as its predecessor's. Your level of writing is as great as ever and this sequel is still one of the best LBT fanfics out there. Even with its flaws, this story was a treat to read. I'd give this 8/10.

Very nice. I really like the Seven Hunters timeline and I'm really excited to hear more about them! This story was slow at places but overall it was very solid and built very well on your first story. Can't wait for the Mender's tale and please keep delivering great stories!

Well, here we are. The last chapter. Let's do this. Daw really nice job, on the first scene with the fish. After all the stress and intensity of the last few chapters, it's good to see more of the heart warming stuff again :) . But aww shit! They're being stalked! Can't they ever catch a break? But wait, they saw it coming? Holy shit, I keep underestimating this pack XD . With that out of the way, really nice job on the bit with Ali, Bron and the other Long Necks. It was great, to see what happened to them, after the events of last chapter. Also really great work, on the scene of the leaf eater children debating wether or not, to use the spears, and exploring the possibilities, that such a weapon in the hands of hundreds, would be much more danger than help. An issue that's still going on today. It was incredibly fascinating, and it was a great moment of development for the party, before the story ended. This was possibly, my favourite part of the chapter. But moving on back to the gang, very good job on the final scenes between everyone. Chomper's moments with his family, and the final scene between Seeker and Ruby. And…is that…a new character? Right at the end of the story? OH MY GOD SEQUEL YES! That should be good. But until then, this was a great follow up. While no where near the greatness, of the first story, this was still a fantastic follow up, with some great new characters, really nice development, an interesting and fun yet dark story and all around, and very solid continuation. Thanks again for the awesome ride and I really like those short story ideas. It always kind of bugged me that cannon never acknowledged that Petrie's kind eat fish, and if anyone can properly explore the implications of such things it's you. It also really makes me look forward to the other possible stories of how Ruby and chomper wound up in the valley and what will happen when he eventually has to leave.

So, on to this final episode: The last stories are told, memories are shared and words of wisdom are given. And with that concluded, the Epilogue slowly plays out... and gives room for an entirely new story. Well, didn't see that coming.
First, however, let me say that it has been an absolute pleasure to read this. The difference to The Seven Hunters was quite easily noticeable in my opinion, yet I think it was also refreshing. Certainly not a bad thing, though I do feel your problems with writers-block and stuff. It can really tire out, I've realized that, too, as of lately.
That being said, if you go back to your original writing style whilst working on this new concept of yours and Historian1912, I am already expecting another great story. Same goes for any of your other ideas.

So, TL;DR: I am very much looking forward to what comes next! Whatever it might be, whatever might follow, know that you will have my support. :)

Hmm... I'd love to see something playin with the predator turning while still in the valley, and maybe temporary to be cannon-compliant, though I don't know if you'd want to rehash old ground.

Man I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT THIS! Well, it's time to fix that. Let's read this chapter. I really liked, the small bit of tension between everyone, after the whole battle. It was a nice touch. Fantastic job, with Cera's kids finally meeting their grandfather. It was really great, to see it finally happen but also very bittersweet, with the aftermath of the battle. But OH SHIT ARIAL! I FORGOT ABOUT HER! But at least, she doesn't seem too badly hurt. So that's good. And fantastic work, on the scene of the gang seeing a bit of themselves, in their children. I guess the past, has a way of catching up with you, in the most unexpected ways XD . Moving onto Chomper, it was really sweet to see him, actually talk with his parents again after so long. It probably wasn't enough, to make up for being permanently banished but it was still pretty good. And hey Pterano's here! Great to see him :D :D . And we finally get, to see the inevitable meeting of Chomper and Verda. And it was well worth the wait :D . Really great job on that moment. And hey, they found a way to keep the sharp teeth fend. That's good. But alas, the gang must leave forever more. It's going to be quite hard, to see them leave their old home permanently, but at least they'll have the memories, with each other. And hey, they still have one more song to finish ;) . Really great job, with the final goodbyes, between the leaf eater and sharp teeth children. It was pretty damn sad, and yet touching at the same time. So great work. And thus, our final flashback beings. Aww man, even if it happen a few chapters back, seeing the parents like this…oh my god, it's so sad :( . But at least, they were able to find a safe way to take care of the eggs :) . At last the hatching begins. And man, after all the hardship, seeing the gang officially become parents…it was so heartwarming you wouldn't believe it :D . Fantastic work, on the final chapter. And best of luck, with the epilogue.

Chomper meets his sister for the first time. I wonder what happens to the pack and Chomper's parents now. Glad that Bron and Shorty still love Littlefoot, same goes to Topps and Cera.

well, here is a loophole to the punishment that was given to chomper...lol.

1) his children can out of nowhere appears at the entrance of the great valley and meet charger, datum, tricia...etc...lol.

it would be very interesting if you ask me...hahahahaha as chomper can't come to get them back but it will be his mate and a few members of the pack he belongs to...lol.

The reunion went as expected then. Bits of banter and joy, but also some understanding. Very nice to see indeed after everything that's happened. And they've already planned ahead what to do with Chomper's parents. Hopefully, they will proceed as planned then.
But... that idea for the eggs certainly got me by surprise. The reason behind it is really touching, but I just can't help but feel that another surprise in imminent, this time striking one of the children. Or maybe I'm just overthinking here.

In any event, this was a very nice, relaxing way to finish the story and make room for the epilogue. And now, for now at least, I have one last of your excellent chapters to look forward to! :)

All right new chapter! Let's see what happens this time. Uh man, the kids and Shorty have found Verda. Now hopefully they can convince her, to trust them. Back over to Chomper, really interesting to get his POV, of the whole situation. Good to see, that despite everything he still tries to reason with the threehorns. But alas, it seems that it won't work. Guess there's only one choice now. But thankfully the rest of the gang, don't have to worry about their kids anymore, so they can hopefully help out Chomper now. But ah SHIT! The rest of the herd, are going to join! This can only end badly for both sides! But that aside, it was really awesome to see Chomper and his parents fight against the threehorns. Really epic and a great reunion of the family :D . Uh and Chomper has a plan. Here's hoping it's a good one. But oh crap! Now the herd is attacking the pack! This is not good! Aww man, I hope they'll be able to get to kids soon! And OH SHIT SOAR! NOT HER! Oh thank lord she's alive. That was WAY too close! OH man poor Spotter. You can defiantly understand, his anger and frustration. They save their former friends, and they respond by trying to kill them. Anyone would be pissed off by this, but you don't want to see them, cross any line regardless of that. And oh shit! The children left! THIS IS NOT GOOD! I mean it's good, that they want to help their parents, but COME ON IT'S DANGEROUS! STAY WITH THE ADULTS! Speaking of…seems like the gang, have to make a grim decision. This is not going to end well… Back with Chomper, it was nice to see Topps make one last attempt, to make him leave out of respect. Really great character moment, and rather touching too. Chomper of course doesn't take it, but still loved seeing the gesture. And it was also great, to see him put the kids over vengeance. Really shows, he's not as bad as many of the others, currently attacking. And thankfully Seeker did have, to kill anyone. Still really great character moment, with them talking about it and the nice little Ruby and Orchid moment. But ah SHIT! Now the herd's after the kids! Things are only getting worse and worse! AND SHIT! THE KIDS ARE DISCOVERED! NOT GOOD! NOT GOOD! AH SHIT ARIAL! NOT HER! Still really great job, with the scene with Detras spending his possible last moments, with her daughter. Really touching stuff. And HURRAY! SPOTTER! SPOTTER HAS SAVED THEM :D . And the children are safe and reunited. Oh what a happy moment. BUT OH SHIT IT SAVINE! HE'S NOT DONE! THIS IS NOT GOOD! But oh man, Charger is not letting them hurt his friends. YES LOVE IT! Awesome job, with the scene of Charger standing up to his new friends. Incredibly touching and a very great show of how much, he has grown since we first saw him. And the father and son, are reunited at last. The crisis is finally over. Fantastic chapter. It was full of tension, suspense, action and plenty of emotional moments. Looking forward, to the next one :) .

you know, it would be interesting to see dein and terri and his sister staying near the pack lands for a short while...lol.
