Really enjoyed this story although I never saw this episode. Did Duke ever get to be part of 5-O on the show?

Beautifully written ATC conveying Danny's thoughts and feelings as the case drew to a close. Loved how you shone some of the spotlight on Duke as he shares his wisdom with Danny.

I like that you had Duke be the mentor figure here - he's good at it. Also, Danny's frustration was clear and I think you hit the nail on the head when you grounded it in Steve's do as say no not as do. Which makes me think of "Long Walk on Short Shore" when Danny finally gets the chance to call Steve out on it all. But he can't yet he's the boss as Duke points out and the boss is not likely to change anytime soon. In all, a nice little snapshot of the aftermath of this episode.

Was looking forward to a new new story from you and you never fail to please. A very good insight to Danny's feelings in that episode. As always Steve has the welfare of his men at heart. Yes a very good point made. It does take a good friend to point out what we already know and sometimes won't admit. Thanks Honu for a nice read.

Nice little ending. Danny's face when he was told he was staying put was quite a picture! I'm glad it inspired this.
