Usually I don't review til I finish a story but since this is a LONG one, I wanted to say something now: this is incredible! At the start I wasn't sure about the whole Salazar!Hermione concept, but you've really made it work. Your characterisations are fantastic, and the ones you've created yourself (the founders and the lesser-known Slytherins) are believable and interesting as well. I'm enjoying this story very much, and getting the feeling that even when I've finished it I'll probably end up revisiting it in the future. Amazing work!

This is a little nitpicky but actually Hermione in canon would already be 12 at this point in first year; she’s about 10 months older than Harry and has a September birthday; she was 11 at the start of first year but would’ve turned 12 before the month was out. Anyway I’m really liking this story I’ve been binge reading it right now

I still don’t understand why in canon Hermione didn’t just honestly say she was in the bathroom for unrelated reasons and didn’t know about the troll, and Ron and Harry, knowing she was in the bathroom and wouldn’t have heard about the troll came to warn her, instead of making herself look foolish. Anyway I’m really liking this fic

I’m really loving how you subvert so many things we’ve started to take for granted in HP fics. For all that we’re following along with canon, it doesn’t yet feel like a slog of necessary buildup, or pages of exposition that read the same as any other fic’s. This is, perhaps, the best thing I could have found to distract me from my rather painful tooth infection, and I thank you both for what I’ve read, and for what I’ve yet to read, because I know it’ll be great too!
