Hermione/Sal is quite handy with the usage of skimming the various adults thoughts. That she was able to shuffle the various pieces of info around and come up with some pretty good theories is rather impressive.

I don't get how it is that Peter's name shows up on the Marauder's Map, but not on Sal's map.

Harry, having a more extensive (more houses) group of friends, is becoming a better (more rounded) person than his father.
