Merlin
lucifyr04 chapter 3 . 5/17
I don't like their insinuation. It's not like they own Middle earth that they can judge who is worthy to stay or not. Aragorn is not even thankful that he was saved. Middle earth is an open continent, there are a lot of living beings residing there. It is not a kingdom, country, not even a city so they don't have the right.

Please not wandless magic

Lovely story. Eowyn and Harry were wonderful in this. Their romance was so good. I love how you captured the feel of Middle Earth. Thanks!
darthkratos24 chapter 5 . 1/26
This situation at the end makes absolutely no sense... I get it Nazgûl, similar to dementors but in what world of a spell FAILS twice before it suddenly works the third time around because harry thought really really hard... In any logical situation any other wizard with an actual brain fires that spell twice and does fuck all they'll shrug and just fire a killing curse watch the half dead fucker defend against that NO magic can defend it and we know it kills half souls like the ones voldy had all over the place that spill would blast a Nazgûl may not fully kill them because of the one ring but they'd be fucked beyond belief
Schmaing003 chapter 11 . 1/15
A bit silly and contrived to force Harry into the Mount Doom confrontation... Up to the final 3 chapters it was quite decent if a bit too flowery and stilted. I feel it would have read better if it was written more like the Harry Potter series vs. attempting to emulate Tolkien. But the finale fell apart and lacked any tension.

PHENOMENAL! period!
Guest chapter 2 . 1/2
The olden language grates on the nerves of the weary reader cause its not what Harry is used to for all of his life and so little has he partaken in the conversations in this new world that he will think in this style too ... So its utter shit..

venus4279 chapter 11 . 12/10/2022
This was amazing - I learned a lot, and I truly enjoyed the journey. You are a wonderful writing. Thank you so much for sharing!
Guest chapter 11 . 12/6/2022
This. Was. Amazing. I cannot stress how much I enjoyed this story, it is an incredibly impressive piece of writing and demonstrates the talent you so clearly have. I am not usually a fan of crossovers, as they are often not well connected, and the stories that are written usually feel forced and rediculous, but this is definitely an exception. I loved the older style of writing you used, I loved the pairing of Harry and Eowyn, I loved all of the little plot twists and surprises you added, and I appreciate that you made the story long enough to enjoy but didn't needlessly inflate the word count with useless extra words. If this is what all of your stories are like, then I am looking forward to reading them all soon!
itioministralis chapter 2 . 11/24/2022
I like your prose and how smoothly it flows. I also liked the colourful descriptions and metaphors. Harry's character and his musings read very realistic. I found the transitions too abrupt, however. One sentence they'd be standing at the gate and the next somewhere near the castle, while in reality that route should take them anything up to an hour. Overall, it felt like I was watching a puppet play. Only two characters would be interacting, while the rest seem not to exist at all.
My suspension of disbelief is strained to the point of breaking with your descriptions of battles.
Take a knife, a sharp one. Then take a metal plate, with a thickness of 3 mm. Now try to cut that plate with the knife. I assure you, you will not make a dent. Swords are useless against armour. Now imagine the Uruk-hai, these killing machines bred for war and bedecked in armour possibly even thicker, coming at you swinging a sword as tall as you when you have a useless weapon and no armour. There's no chance you'd be able to hurt them in any way, while their one swing would cut you in half. Reading about two unarmored amateurs with swords cutting down scores of literal tanks is just ridiculous.
Ariadne Venegas chapter 11 . 10/12/2022
Sam was ring bearer either way.

And maybe Merlin could have being a great great grandson? Because he was supposed son of a fae, so he could be descendant of and elf and Harry, like from his daughter. Or with another half elf that was still somewhere in middle earth.

Finally earth had hobbits, dwarves and other kinds of men some could be considered orcs even.

They were older kind of primitive men like the florentian who were like a meter tall, the denisovan who make beautiful jewelry and the neanderthal who lived in intricate caves and have beards.

So we have all this races in the past and some of their dna are in ours, not only Cromagnon.
Ariadne Venegas chapter 6 . 10/12/2022
This I didn’t like why you take away Eowyn songs! This was her hour! Harry could have help with the patronus for her to give the blow! He need to die the hand of someone not a man…
Had you not read Shakespeare, this is a mirror of the prophesy given vy the three witches. The king couldn’t die by man born of a woman. But when the battle came the guy who killed him had being born in a Caesarea after the mother death, so he met the principles of the prophecy she was the one!

This was a reread and still just as good as the first experience.
