I only just found your story yesterday and have read all 79 chapters in 2 days. I really like that you cut through a great deal of angst that beset the original show. That angst kept me coming back week after week to the original broadcast but your version is emotionally cleaner, and I like that. The show kept us all wondering "will they, or won't they?" and when we were convinced that they would, the question remained "OK, when?". That's a delicate path you didn't need to take and I'm glad you didn't. Innuendo and subtext make me crazy. I much prefer clear speech with a little emotional nudging required on occasion.

Ok, I'm crying! It was hard to watch on TV and it's hard to read about this scene the way you write it this time!
