That was awesome, yes it is a little odd that the house elves never saw him. I wonder what is going happen when they realize Harry & Hermione are gone. As for Harry's scar sounds good me. Can wait to see what happens next.

The scene with Harry, Hermione and McGonagall is great - and tragically seems to exemplefy the fact that, even in canon, she's more ostrich than cat with ignoring what happens around her and trying to tell others to do the same (Books 2, 4, 5 and anytime Malfoy comes over to the Gryffindor table...) - and I can't wait to see what happens when she, Dumbledore and the rest of Magical Britain discover that Harry has left the country.

I like to think dumbles new he was there and just dident care as it dident go with his plans to orderd the elves not to say or do anything ... Anyway love the chapter and Sirius geting a girl friend can't wait for next chapter

It wasn't just the house elves. Remember the portraits and suits of armor also reported to Dumbles. I'm sure more than once they would have seen SOMETHING to make them question the rat. Then again I'm still off about the fact Dumbledore knew who the secret keeper was all along and never said anything. I read the books again just to make sure and it still astounds me.

I agree but who would have listened to them apart from Harry and Hermione in canon. Also great story by the way.

I also wondered why the twins had the map and never notice that Ron's rat was never in his dorm, but Peter Pettgrew was always there!

now that you said about it, i think the house elves didn't say anything about pettigrew.. maybe because they thought that they're a lowly house elves who wouldn't dare to talk when they aren't being asked?

theory about harry's scar, well so far i'm quite agree.. harry and hermione haven't come to conclude that there's voldemort's soul inside harry right? soul doesn't really have a solid body so it can stay intact inside the scar..

As always, brilliant story and plot :) I just want to mention I hope the gryfindors get what they deserve in the end from harry and hermione..

love it. cant wait for the headlines about sirius, that will be a blow for the ministry. i can see harry and hermione having a back-up school in spain just in case someone tries to corner them that they cant leave hogwarts. cant wait to read more.

You realise the highest degree of burn is third degree, which goes to the bone, right? Victor's performance always makes me sad. Those poor baby dragons. Why couldn't they have used the golden egg and several fake eggs instead? The mama dragon should have bitten Victor's arm off. Fleur having a fire affinity is the best explanation I've seen for her lack of burns. I do like Harry and Hermione just wagging the whole event in favour of improving their relationship.

They might have seen Scabbers, but the Old Goat wanted him there in the school so told the Elves to ignore him, no matter the danger to the students. I honestly can't imagine someone as horrible as Wormtail around all those people, especially the females, and not doing something. I wouldn't be surprised that Ron turns out to be Wormtail's kid, with or without Molly's knowledge.

With Dobby, since he worked for the school, he'd have to obey Bumbles, so Dobby was most likely ordered to keep quiet and not tell Harry. And since Harry would have told Dumbles, or more likely, read Harry's mind, about how Dobby hinted to Harry about the Basilisk, Dumbles could have taken precautions to close those loopholes.
