Honestly this fic was kinda frustrating and it just makes kagome look really bad. Like I feel like there were times where kagome could have redeemed herself. Like use the shikon jewel to destroy naraku herself during that whole confrontation with all of them in the room. Or she could have been more selfless and sacrificed herself in some way for inuyasha to prove that she was not going to be further manipulated. Or being honest about the whole sesshomaru posion thing before it got out in the open. She's was just a damsel in destress the whole time. And just begging for forgiveness is kinda I dunno...it just made me not like her character.. and I really wanted to like her. Also the part where the war was breaking out and Sango got her out prison I was hoping kagome would find some way to stop the war or her miko powers would kick im or something. Instead she just goes to find miroku and he doesn't even do anything. Sorry for the rant, and I don't mean any disrespect, it did keep me reading the whole thing in hopes it would get better but ah well.

I read this entire fanfic in one day... it left a bad taste in my mouth :( I really tried to love it, but the way you executed the plot just didn't click with me. The plot was well thought out in many aspects, but the characters and their actions and the way some things played out killed me on the inside. I absolutely DESPISED that Kagome literally begged for InuYasha not to leave. And at many times the characters were OOC.
Honestly, I think the writing is good. Probably much better than what I could ever do. I just felt this story lacking big time for me. It's late.. I am going to sleep now.
And I realize this was written years ago, I just really need to get my feelings and opinions out.

You're right, I don't know why I was surprised... he did get shot in the head in your last fanfiction...
Although the way he came back just tickled me so much! Sheshomaru was just pissed off at how easily he had won and just pressed the "restart" button!

I hate this story! Of course, Sesshomaru deserves the throne. He is the eldest and the legitimate heir. Not some illegitimate halfbreed like inuyasha. I began hating the 'Inuyasha' series due to this unjust preference shown to Inuyasha. Even though Sesshomaru is far stronger than Inuyasha (even Rumiko Takahashi has said so), it is never acknowledged. I tolerated the series somewhat but the whole issue with Meido Zangetsuha was the final nail in the coffin. I have hated the storyline since then. The rightful heir to Meido was Sesshomaru-sama and the fact that he was used by their father for the sake of Inuyasha made the Inu no Taisho the most hated character in my eyes.

this reminds me so much of Disneys Hercules, the summary suggested it but the first chapter, definitely!

After multiple times of reading this fanfic, I spot a typo that I can't believe I missed after so many times of reading this. The part where Kagome swipes the spoon and Inuyasha catches her, and he says "you're a peasant, not a princess" and she counters with, "your mother (referring to the queen) thought I was", THERE. How could she say "your mother" to Inuyasha when she doesn't know that he's the prince? She's obviously referring to the queen, in that sense.

For a scant minute there I was not so sure there would be a happy ending to this! Everything was falling apart and my heart was breaking and I just wanted to squeeze everyone and tuck them away somewhere safe until all was right in the world. But it ended on a happier note, Yet it remained realistic and that is amazing! Very well done, great plot! Made for a really interesting read! Thank you for sharing!
