I've read your story and I have to say, it's absolutely hilarious. But what are you going to do, once the ring is dealt with? I mean, other than the ring, I don't think there's another big bad to be dealt with right? I've only watched the movies, and haven't read the books and most of my additional knowledge comes from fanfiction and some googling I did in the past, so I could be wrong.

In any case, I'm looking forward to where this is going, hopefully there will be a few thing to delay the ring's destruction and keep the story going...

kinda wonder what sort of reaction this obviously compassionate gesture will garner with both the elves and the men, wonder if any of those slaves happened to be some minor noble family member that would be ever so grateful or whose family had long thought them lost in a great journey to a far off land.

Wonder if Howard can take on some speedy land bound form similar to a great bear or wolf if viewed from a distance and with heavily squinted eyes.

Harry is a cop. Action with so very minor a minor is actionable. He knows this. Hell, even HE has limits, and I'm pretty sure he'd go to those limits on the carcass of anyone who wanted to play hide the sausage with what is, ostensibly, an innocent child, no matter how filthy the kids mouth might be. (They had to have learned it from some reprehensible adult, after all, right? Just another sign of probable abuse.)

Middle Earth has some pretty specific standards, as he's noticed, so if, as a child, he DID manage to get some fun-time out of some desperate woman, he'd probably be dooming her to a lynching, or at least excoriating abuse and further degradation and social isolation, even from those who might once have accepted her.
In the end, Harry does seem to care about the consequences of his actions, and I'd think he'd especially care if they might utterly destroy a life that's already got one foot in hell.

Am I overthinking a comic book? Absolutely. My kids (adults now) get so tired of me trying to logic stuff like "Batman" and "The Avengers". They throw me out of the room to make popcorn.
I'm a para at a school that works with kids with severe disabilities, so I can't help it. It's reflex. Where others see a "villain", I see abuse, trauma, broken homes, questionable people around a child, mental illness in the child and/or those that they're involved with (depression, lack of impulse control, schizophrenia, sociopathy, psychopathy, narcissism), etc.

I like to think that I don't fall under the American "Liberal/Conservative/Independent" umbrella so much as the "Realist" umbrella.
Socialism, as described, would be paradise. Unfortunately - people.
What made Lucifer and Sauron what they became? Dunno. Sometimes, it's all of the above, and sometimes people (beings?) just make choices.
A family member married a beautiful girl who was brought up by loving parents, but she was a sociopath, and she did terrible things to people that loved her. Just 'cause. She was a destructive cancer. She didn't ASK to be born a sociopath, BUT - that doesn't excuse the damage she did to others.
As Victor Hugo wrote, "The liberty of one citizen ends where the liberty of another citizen begins" (unless it involves smoking, apparently, 'cause God help ya if they even SEE you!) , and as Heinlein wrote, "We shoot mad dogs, don't we?" (Pithy and to-the-point.) Everyone wants to create a balance, but nobody can agree about where to put the fulcrum.

Harry needs to help himself and everyone else by cooking up a glamour at the very least, or he's gonna be (very nearly) eternally doomed to frustration, never mind the shit-storm that his pursuit could bring down around his currently pointy little ears.
That said, back to reality, which this is NOT! It's good fun. I'm still laughing at the seagull cannon. (Although...I did feel sorry for the seagull. /sigh I can laugh, dammit! It's a cartoon seagull!)
