Actually, Wind likely would of assumed it was another boy that was dressed as the hero after coming of age, as is their islands tradition. Eh, hard to research so many tales at once.

Quick question - are you going to mention/feature Breath of the Wild Link at any point? And there's the matter of Calamity Ganon, of course. Also, I think Steam would gleefully tinker with the Guardians, while the others would end up running and screaming (as usual).

Cool! The Darkling language was kind of weird to try and decipher, but fun. It reminds me of reading Dutch for some reason; I don't know the language, but if I stare long enough I can get a vague sense of what's going on.
Dusk calming Steam is adorable. I also like how Ganondorf is conflicted on whether he's fine with Zant being crazy, because he wouldn't be his minion if he was sane.

Collared lizards are dope. Googling them reminded me of that one video with all the baby crocodiles, where they clambered up the guy's arm while making sounds like laser guns.

In any case, loved the chapter! You've done an amazing job putting life into each of the Links, villains and side characters. It's engaging and refreshing, and at least for me, it gives that touch of humanity when they can be anything but, especially when the Goddesses bend over backwards to try and help them out. Getting some Office vibes from them and in the words of the great Ronald McDonald, I'm loving it.
