I like this story. I like the way your english is used. I feel like i’m reading a JK Rowling book.

Man, I get the feeling that you really do not like Hide. That is odd since he is such a fan favorite. I could understand other characters not liking him in your story but even Ken not liking him? Dude was his anchor in life, I don't think there is anything Ken wouldn't do for him. A friend like more than a brother, you know?

Anyway, it seems Eto is beginning to feel this magnetism to Ken as well. I can only hope it is because they are both half ghouls and not because it is the stated pairing of this story? A good story should be organic, conclusions reached from reasonable actions and reactions. Not just author fiat. I'll hope that is the case for awhile longer.

Well, interesting.

Eto in canon is nothing short of a psychopath so it kind of makes sense that she is still crazy to some degree here. That said, it feels like you are pushing the attraction too hard. Eto having an almost magic ability to get into Ken's head feels excessive. Admittedly Half ghouls are shown to be extremely enticing to other ghouls, but you established this ability when Ken was still 100% human.

He was a nonviolent person early on, but he was no idiot. He is smart, insightful, and shown to be near genius levels in academic areas. Later on he is shown to have a mind for tactics and battle strategy. So while yes he was physically weak and behaviorally introverted, he was not some weak puppet to be toyed with oh so easily.

Still, the interaction with the two is interesting.

Well, interesting premise. The fact that Touka isn't the one falling in with Ken feels like heresy or blasphemy, but Eto has a mystique all on her own. I don't think she and Ken would ever get involved while he is still a human (she expressed disinterest and even contempt for him a couple of times prior to the sequel) but as one-eyed ghouls, they very much are foils for one another in the story. The fact that they have opposite eyes that activate when they start to ghoul out I think is one hint at this. So while a romance between the two would never happen, it is interesting that you are pairing them together here.

I've read both Tokyo Ghoul and its sequel to completion, so the idea that Eto managed to stay with Kuzen says a lot about ramifications for the story. It was her anger of the world that caused her to join forces with Arima which later led to Aogiri Tree. That organization more or less is the catalyst for the vast majority of the canon story. So, I'm looking forward to seeing how you will remedy things in this 'what if' of yours.

Last thought is that the rapid shifts in PoVs are jarring and there are some grammar and spelling issues which are somewhat distracting.

All told though, I think I'm hooked. For now at least. Favorited and followed.

You guys rly need to stop this forced sap, I mean yeah sure, one moment eto's being all adverse about pregnancy to keep ghouls from being in this tragic world, and the next shes pregnant after the first time Kaneki got off inside her? You know pregnancy rates aren't that high like about 20%... Its either the Tokyo ghoul cast are all EXTREMELY fertile or Kaneki rly cums a lot of 'Smart' cum, I know youre trying to do what they did with Touka for added sap and nostalgia but seriously its so unrealistic it ruins the effect.

dude from what you wrote in this chapter, we can all tell, the reason Eto's gonna ever fall for him is cos of capture bonding or stokholm syndrome, when youre with a person for an extended period of time...alone...

This feels so unnatural I mean man the writing's all good but the way eto is represented and her interest in Kaneki specifically is so forced, this is such a forced ship if you really wanted tragedy youd have paired eto with someone like an oc that is a ghoul or even touka which would have a way more trageic life story, cos we all know that ghouls don't 'have' parents unlike humans. THe way u wrote her seemed like she felt kaneki was the most tragic person and the most underserving of it that she had ever met, you should read the Tokyo ghoul fanfic metempsychosis on this site for TRAGIC, Kaneki here has it soft if anything I'd call his character weak and the typical lowest nerd school boy character designed to make readers feel better about themselves from knowing that such a pathetic MC could exist, he was practically MADE to pair with touka just to show character growth and how he changed her from hating humans for being weak to genuinely caring for one, its their absolute contrast in personality that make them so great as well as their similarities, which is that they're both honest and loyal as hell, genuinely caring for their loved ones. This is not to say that I am adverse to such a pairing but the fact that I find your reason for eto to be interested in him and her starting premise to be absolutely forced and unimaginative. Were you perhaps having a writer's block when you wrote this intro? Cos Id advise you to rewrite it.

Wow! I actually noticed a visible difference in your style this chapter. I loved the authors note at the end. I rarely give reviews unless I think the chapter is particularly exceptional. This has kept me up for the past two nights waiting to get to this point in your story. I am VERY much looking forward to the rest of this. There were also VERY few grammatical errors which was so refreshing to read. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read something this excellent. Excuse me while I go and finish the rest of this.
