Luna's Child fanfic chapter 64 . 6/17/2019 This was such a beautiful journey you've embarked us on. I loved every moment of it, and I congratulate you for an excellent job. It's probably too much to ask, but I wouldn't mind reading a sequel, hehe. Well done, my dear. |
LuBu081 chapter 64 . 6/17/2019 "I'm going to explore the Cosmos." Okay, show of responses here. How many of us said "-with this planet as my vessel." in Sephiroth's voice after he said that? |
Guest chapter 64 . 6/17/2019 Thank you for letting us be part of this journey. This novel is a work of art and I appreciate every hour spent, every tear shed to get to this conclusion. Such a poignant moment at the lake saying good bye to Genesis. It perfectly captured complicated loss, when someone we love leaves this world not on the best of terms. Thank you three thousand, Vendetta |
Guest chapter 64 . 6/17/2019 Well, this has certainly been a ride. Firstly, this fic is really nicely done. The two games don't exactly mesh well so you deserve a lot of credit for managing to run with the settings so well. The characters are all nicely fleshed out, they each feel unique with their own style of speech and their personality quirks keep them distinct while you play them off of each other. The decision to have Shepard ultimately fail to save everyone or get a "golden ending" is well done as well, it makes the story feel less like the setting is bending to Shepard's whims and more like a living, breathing world filled with people who all make their own decisions. It might not be as happy an ending as it could have been, but it was an ending that felt more realistic. That said, I suppose my major criticism would have to be the ending as well. Rather, the last few chapters. They feel... rushed I suppose. Events sort of start moving very quickly at a pace that doesn't seem entirely natural and could possibly have been written better perhaps? Agh, I suck at constructive criticism. It certainly wasn't a deal breaker and things were foreshadowed quite a lot and so didn't come out of nowhere but something about it really just didn't seem to play out as well as the earlier parts of the story did. Bah, ultimately this was a very good fic and you should be proud of it. I definitely enjoyed it and thank you for putting this out there. |
stormcrowley chapter 64 . 6/17/2019 I left a more heartfelt review on AO3 yesterday right after you posted this chapter there, so I won't repeat myself here. I will say that you showed not only that this is a great crossover concept, but made it work exceptionally well with how the personalities grew and changed over time, due to their influences. Sometimes it was subtle how different characters influenced one another's change, sometimes it really wasn't - but, the times it wasn't were some of the most impactful scenes. The long talk Sephiroth had with Scout comes to mind. Two frivolous things, though. One, can you imagine what a sparring match between Sephiroth and Grunt would be like? I just did, and the property damage was very impressive. Two, I saw the trailer for the FFVII again today. You know what it was missing? Angeal, Genesis, Shepard, and Sephiroth together and causing targeted mayhem. Very well done. :) |
Helljumper206 chapter 64 . 6/17/2019 Awe. A nice ending, and about time to. Truthfully I was hoping to see the reactions of the Normandy crew with Shepard being alive. Oh well. |
GhostBeethoven chapter 64 . 6/17/2019 God. This is and will forever remain one of the best stories I have ever read. Thank you for finishing it. I wish you everything and your absolute best. I'm crying for actual real right now. I want you to know that Shepard and Genesis' Loveless exchanges have stuck with me for years. |
link01742 chapter 64 . 6/17/2019 my birthday was the other day, and I remember reading this story when it was first released and loving it. Great Ending, hoping for a little more info about the other characters, and personally, I kind of wondered what happened to the other FF7 characters the may not have anything to do with the story (Cloud Tifa Aerith Vincent Cid and Barret etc.) that's just me |
