So, a Thorian? Anything further would just be repeating my earlier review. It was a fantastic buildup but I CAN NOT HELP but be disappointed despite the fact I was expecting it. It's no one's fault but my own, I guess.

I know this is your story with your own direction but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed by the reveals over the last 100k words. It feels like you're using the hyper advanced and ancient nature of the Mass Effect's older denizens to justify the existences of the fantastical and near-supernatural elements of Final Fantasy, like some sort of convenient plot tool.

It feels like you're taking the 'magic' out of magic and just making it into an illusion. Nerfing the SOLDIERS was one thing and I could look past it easily for the story's sake, but you can see where my feelings are coming from, right? Turning Alexander into a Reaper, making the Black Materia a Prothean device, what next? You're gonna make Chaos and Omega and the WEAPONS abandoned Prothean -or some other ancient, now-extinct race- weapons or make JENOVA into some sort of humanoid Reaper?

What's the point of making a crossover between something with magic and something strictly science if you're just going to make one's existence the cause of the other's?

Well, that's my feelings so far. Yes, I do like this story alot and the Seph-Shep (god, they even match!) ship is strong with this one but it just feels like your making the lore of Gaia hollow or fake.

Can kill a dragon in one or two hits and can slice the Junon cannon like he's cutting pepperoni but his sword gets stuck in flesh? You're right about that warning in the beginning, though toning down the craziness of FFVII feels like it's done for the sake of Shepard's sanity or something.

Damnit why are the scientists in FF7 SO FUCKING STUPID!?

Wait wait wait. Aren't the Reapers already destroyed? My understanding of Reaper Intelligence is that they're based on the reaper ships themselves. So if all Reaper ships have been destroyed, then the Reapers no longer exist right? And those under their thrall have no one controlling them.

Unless of course even the smallest piece of reaper technology can hold Reaper AI similarly to the Geth. But if that were the case, then Husks wouldn't be so mindless because Reapers are in control of them. Unless Reaper tech has a corrupting influence that essentially just indoctrinates anything to follow the reaper objective of annihilation even without a reaper in control of them.

Then again, that goes against canon because no matter the ending, Husks still get disabled after the Reapers were no longer a threat.

Ooooh A reaper controlled Shinra! I really wish these chapters come out sooner but alas, i understand. This has been a great read. I always look forward to reading your updates. First thing i clicked on when checking my emails.

Will you involve other Mass Effect characters? Will you be bringing the Geth or Quarian to Midgard? i sure hope you will do so at the end of the story. Keep up the good work author. All the best.

An amazing chapter! The dialogue was great, and the scenes where the husks were created and when the reaper code spread have me excited to see what happens next. I also really love Scout. :)
