Why is the Hokage...THE HOKAGE... seems not as involved as Kasai?He is the Hokage... and Shikaku over Kasai? That does not even exist. Even if he is the Anbu Commander... they should report to the Hokage. You have made Kasai thr Hokage, it seems.

Personally I feel Haruo's battlefield should be higher while Sasuke's is lower.

Haruo being higher because his reaction to fight with Zabuza is something that while not as tedious as Shikamaru's fight with Temari showed the level of thought process for handling situations in combat required of a chunin and then he was able to actually follow through and utilize the strategy.

Meanwhile Sasuke is obviously hampered by incessant need to be better than people and his inability at the moment to come to grips with the fact that people are just better than him at certain aspects because he's currently more of a Jack all of trades genin and a master of none. It's what caused him to just rush into battle every time we've seen him do it in both canon and your story. It's even worse here because he's livid over Haruo being better in everything but taijutsu and the fact that everyone fell back so his sprint in wasn't on 2 lower skilled chunin who were focused on naruto but rather while they were focused on him for rushing ahead.

im obsessed with this, and the one weakness in the story was clinginess between haruo and naruto but you have their sensei working on it and as they slowly open up to the other genin from their class. ALSO did you know sakura is NOT a civilian child? she's actually the daughter of 2 shinobi parents who are at least chunin but more likely jonin. Since Sakura was originally slated as a disposable character before Kishimoto decided to make her more prominent and a permanent member of the cast her early information isn't all that fleshed out. She's actually just spoiled like Ino was when you think about it. I also like how you're pointing out where the Academy has it's failing all around in such a way that'd make them better prepared to start as genin not just broken as hell and also explains the discrepancy between recent classes and how only gai's team is prominent in any shape or form aside from the rookie 9 who are all clan children plus naruto and sakura and classes that graduated before them where it seems like a lot of talented ninja came from the generations starting pre-kyuubi attack with genin being more competent yet graduating much earlier.

I mean it makes sense for Kakashi to be held back this time specifically to train those 3 and whoever the "fourth" person is. *cough* Sakura *cough* Since you laid a very heavy groundwork that doesn't imply but outright states that Haruo and Naruto must stay together and that Haruo also needs to be trained to protect himself while also protecting him from outside threats etc. etc. The only thing I'd say that this story has as a weakness, is the over dependence Haruo has on having to stay by Naruto to such a severe extent. To the point Haruo feels like a yandere.

we didn't need Mizuki for the filler arc anyways, I'm pretty sure in the manga he was dead anyways after T&I got through with him since he did break a law that was punishable by execution and it's only the anime that brought him back to life for the filler arc. This is an awesome story so far wish I'd found it much sooner.

makes sense, Juugo cannot truly control it since he absorbs it in such an unbalanced manner that it forces his body to mutate to compensate and then his body produces hormones designed to heighten his aggression to the point he attacks anything in range possibly as a self defense mechanism to force him to use the energy, which means he's also missing the natural filter that the magical core provides for him that would keep him safe while absorbing the energy.

This is super awesome! I love everything about this story, I clouding agreeing with Harou and Naruto on Sasuke needing his ass kicked and getting a massive reality check. If that doesn't help then I hope the little shit dies somehow and Itachi gets to live. I'd think maybe magic could help his disease or whatever so he lives. Please please continue this!
