Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 Great chapter! |
Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 I was worried about a miscarriage when you mentioned the bruising, what a tragic turn of events and such a bad time for Darcy to be trying to convince Elizabeth of his feelings. |
Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 If Darcy is in love with his wife he has an odd way of showing it. I feel that there is no connection between them as a couple. They hardly communicate. Once Elizabeth woke you you would think Darcy would spend time with her to tell how how he feels, instead they talk about Mrs Annesly. Neither of them seem to be concerned about her pregnancy, which I find odd. I was anxiously anticipating what they would say to each other when she awoke and ... Nothing. Richard is the hero in this story while Darcy acts like an idiot. Although why Richard didn't give the letter back to Darcy doesn't make sense. I wish you spend more time on giving us Darcys reaction to finding out his letters from Diana were noticed by Elizabeth, rather than just a side mention. He didn't even rush to his wife to explain or to tell her that what Whickham said was lies. I find it hard to accept these two are in love with each other. It doesn't come out in there actions. |
Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 So Darcy had already looked at Diana's letters once since they got back from the inn but did nothing about them then. He found out Elizabeth had seen them and it wasn't the pixies who retied them in the ribbon so he decided not to burn them but to tear them to shreds. |
Raina chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 Awe the Jane and Richard interaction was so sweet! I loved how he actually loves her, unlike the wreatched Mr Bingley. DARCY UGH I HAVE NO WORDS. You better fix what you broke Darcy |
Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 As far as Elizabeth possibly not being able to have a child now goes, men have been having children with servants and passing them of as of-springs of the wife. The men don't care as long as they are the father and I suppose the wife put a pillow under her dress and only they keep it on the down low. Even as recently as the Queen Mother, her mother was rumored to be a french cook. |
Keg chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 Jane to the rescue! Jane's arrival is exactly what Lizzy needs at the moment. I hate to see D&E have to endure such tragedy. Although they will finally come to understand one another, it's an awfully high price to pay. Keg |
Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 A Minor point, but they did not have a way hear the baby's heart beat back then. So the doctor would not be able to confirm the miscarriage per your story. It would have been a waiting game to see how it goes. If there is a sudden loss of baby's movement, then one could infer a fetal demise. I generally do not post when I see glaring errors of regarding what and how people behaved. however, this type of technological error is akin to saying they had electric lights or drove a car. |
nesciamema chapter 52 . 12/6/2015 Hope you do a sequel, would love to know what else happened and Rosings & with both the Fitzwilliam & Darcy families. |
Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 This is my first time posting a comment, but your story is so well written that I need to thank you for it. Have you promised a HEA for ODC? Please let it be so! Please post soon! |
Mathematical Dragon chapter 52 . 12/6/2015 I enjoyed this story. It was a terrific variation on Lizzy & Darcy's relationship, and it was delightful to see Jane courted and won by someone with more backbone - I've always been fond of Richard. Nice to see Bingley's reaction to finding out his angel wasn't just wasting away waiting for his return. I'm happy with Jane and Lizzy being able to live side-by-side for the rest of their lives, as that fits well. I like the idea of Georgie growing up to be awkward as her brother despite Lizzy & Jane's best efforts. I would have liked to hear what happened to Robert, though. And I'm curious about the eventually fates of Lizzy and Jane's three younger sisters. I am happy that Lydia's safe from Wickham - your Richard is wonderfully ruthless and efficient in protection of his family. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us. I would certainly enjoy it if you write a sequel or a new story or stories. I hope you have a happy Advent to recover with inspiration that sets you writing throughout the twelve (or forty) days of Christmas. :) |
Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 So Darcy's grooming is down the tubes as he no longer has well manicured hands (chewed nails) and has marred his looks with an ugly gash, even sutures of the plastic surgeons of today leave scars particularly on the face. |
Guest chapter 50 . 12/4/2015 your colleagues |
