I'm so happy I lived to see the next part of the story! I love that Katara is finally taking real action! I love to see people aknowleding how GOOOD Katara is (Remember "You are so good Zuko/Zuko had always wanted to be good" back in Call me Katto"). She is getting her tribe back while singlehandedly saving the healers. I'm so happy to be reading this

i absolutely adore the way Zuko is seeing Katara's perspective from her time as a slave. it is super refreshing after all his (very believable) stupidity and self-centeredness in the first half. also, the lemon lover in me is adoring the peppering of dirty thoughts and the angst lover is loving all the guilt they cause. It's gonna be suuuuch a satisfying payoff.

Zuko needs to stop being such a simp

Well. I'm trying to have empathy for him, really, but God zuko is really hard to like. You wrote his character believably, but God he sucks. He's an absolute prick of insurmountable proportions
