![]() ![]() ![]() While you get many details incorrect, you are a great character writer with an engaging knack for fight scenes and deep passion for Star Wars. In the end, the little things are just...little things and we SW fans tend to be overly critical because we love those little things a lot, but you GET IT, you get what Star Wars is about: family. Not destiny, not the fate of countless worlds, not the Force, but family and philosophy. So long as you remember that, we will keep reading. |
![]() ![]() ![]() In the words of Dr. Zola, "The sanity of the plan is of no consequence." "Why's that?" "BECAUSE HE CAN DO IT!" |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hyperdrives are basically an electrical system powered by multiple medium sized generators. Anything that damages the system can cause a surge that fries one or more generators as well as the conductors between them which leads to the sub-light (aka impulse) engines where the thrust is multiplied exponentially to reach lightspeed then into hyperspace. They are large and very heavy but can be stored fairly easily once packed properly. Installing them requires specialized equipment and specific know-how. That's also why it was such a pain in the butt for Han and Chewie to fix the Hyperdrive for the Falcon, you have to inspect the entire system piece by piece and the conductors between them which usually covers most of the engineering area. In short, you have to rip apart most of the engines and disassemble a good part of the ship sometimes just to find where the damage is and learn the extent of it. Anakin was one of the few people on Tattooine capable of doing that in a fairly short amount of time, mostly using the Force and his understanding to map the system out in his mind. I know this as a huge star wars fan and as someone who learned electrical engineering under my grandpa; an expert with over 50 years of experience who was involved in multiple government and military projects. All of this was based heavily on the systems used in the F-14's, the successors the F-22's, the SR-71's, and the B series stealth program. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wookipedia is your friend for info on what sort of fuel starships use, weaponry, and blaster ammo. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Plagueis still existed at this point. He died the night Palpatine was elected as Chancellor. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You keep saying vader is loosing control but you never show it. Vader has not lost control once in this entire story. Nor should he. Recall he already finished his arc with luke. he is complete. No instability in emotion or sanity. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You made a mistake in this chapter I'm afraid. If you wanted to nerf vader or create internal dissent you cheaped out. Inconsistent. You built up Vader's character "only harming my family will bring death" and then did a 90 degree turn. The mission was a success. He got the holocron he wanted. He then killed a useful general. And with this he also lost his other two as well. No way the other two remain loyal. Bad idea buddy. Big mistake. Big big big mistake. You literally washed away chapters of your own writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Best chapter so far. It was hilarious. Lovely. The interactions were perfect. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Lol. I love that vader is having fun. |
![]() ![]() ![]() dude ahsoka is 14... maul is 35 |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ahsoka x Lux Banteri |
![]() ![]() Nah You really nade this story garbage by having Vader kidnap Padme lol wtf? F*ck you for making me waste my time on this trash. No chance im reading the rest of this dumpster fire you call a story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hmmm... on one hand we'll played. I am glad Vader still has loyalty to lose who are loyal to him. On the other hand there were clues beforehand that someone might not be dead in previous instances. I still think last chapter could have been better executed because it still is a VERY jarring change compared to prior chapters. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I've been fine with the story thus far, but this sudden change in direction seems forced. It doesn't flow well with the chapters that came before it. If there was going to be a change in direction it should have been over several chapters, not this sudden ninety degree turn. It makes it feel like you didn't have this planned out and merely decided on this sudden change on a whim, and that is never good for the health of a story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Anakin vader? why keep the given name and get rid of the family name? makes no sense. I dropped this over a year ago I think I'm starting to remember why. |
