Just discovered this story - amazing take on the dynamic. I know this is a long piece in the works - please keep updating!

Heh if Tom was actually like this in the books then I get why Dumbledore was so suspicious of him. Imagine this thing when he becames a teenager or young Voldemort.

I did not expect to be drawn into this story with such ease. When I was told to read this, I was made clear that it was a Tom/Hermione fic (which, I had been looking for a good one). I was also told that it was to be incestuous. Now, while that topic in itself does not bother me. I daresay, finding well written stories of the topic that are done with a sense of refinement and grace...is a difficult task if ever there was one. To be perfectly candid, this story has been of the utmost pleasure to read. I didn't want to come to the last chapter. I saw when I started it that it wasn't finished, and cringed halfway through at the knowledge that I would most probably be left waiting to read more. With that said, you have done such an amazing job, I don't mind the wait for the next chapter. Keep up the outstanding work, and know that I will be awaiting the next update with bated breath.

I really don’t think Tom’s that different. He still managed to stage an escape and weave through the alley like he was born there.

Even if I expected it, I was still shocked silly when Hermione was sorted into Slytherin. That prompted a small google search if Muggleborns sorted into Slytherin is canon. xD

I do read a few Slytherin!Hermione fics. I guess the shock factor came from the story started when Hermione became a Slytherin with no time-travelling involved! With Tom around as her brother, guess it should not be shocking if Hermione could dredge up her Slytherin worthy performance in the books; which she displays marvelously with Dolores Umbridge and Rita Skeeter.

I think I simply got used to the notion that she would be a Ravenclaw if Tom Riddle and Hermione are schoolmates. And what a ridiculous portion of fanfics have that kind of (safe) dynamic.

I laughed so hard with your decision for Tom. I cant wait to see how this plays out!

thank you for including eileen and making her more than some stupid child, and for writing her with the same kind of, well, maybe not a backbone, per se, more like her own set of legs to stand on, like the ones i always pictured snape owning - thank you for making her into someone i could imagine raising snape into the person i picture him being, is what i mean, i suppose. i think i'll love you forever because of it

But wouldn’t they have realized they weren’t in trouble for having magic/no one was going to take their magic away once ‘the man’ who’d shown up at their house wielded magic in front of them? Or they were just eleven-year-olds who were thrust into this strange new world and their critical thinking skills were probably not in top form. That’s prolly it. Stupid Tomione. I'm so curious as to what that line 'whatever it was, he did.' meant. I have no idea, no clue whatsoever, can someone pm me, if they got the faintest theory on what that meant?

Been re-reading this, wondering how long will this story be, what direction it will go. It's so painful to wait for updates, when you get into the story. I'm also wondering, how will their relationship work out in the future, when Tom is a literal psychopath who has problems with feeling empathy.
