|Reviews for Preys|
| This is getting old chapter 12 . 1/19/2013
I'm reading this and it looks like it has neither finished or updated in years. I am terrified of not knowing who the killer is, and terrified that it turns out to be Kenshin. Nooooooooooooo...
| Raining insanity chapter 21 . 6/13/2009
I love your story but I found a couple of problems with it:
1) You seem to have gotten amused mixed up with bemused. They mean entirely different things.
2) I think that even though this is an A.U. story you've messed with the characters a little too much. They aren't really rurouni kenshin characters anymore. They seem like oc's with the same names.

| Deondra chapter 21 . 1/23/2005
Please update. I love Tokio and Saitou and this by far, one of the best stories I've ever read about them. I totally understand about getting too busy to update. But please continue.
| Guest chapter 21 . 12/26/2004
the plot is really good, and i really like the NON-ooc-ness of the characters, you really have all of them down-pat, with the exception of Kenshin and Kaoru. Kaoru may act "spoiled" in the series, but she really does care for everyone [and keep in mind that she is 1 working woman, (back in the 1800s working women were looked down upon, and seen as doing a "man's job") feeding 2 grown men and one adolescent boy, which canNOT be not easy]; she is not the demanding kind of person you make her out to be, and she would most defintely NOT ask Enishi to give up everything for her. Kaoru is really a cheerful, caring, loyal, and unbiased person, whomever says so otherwise should be crucified. Kenshin is NOT some spineless, smiley, stupid, dumbfuck. He is a very deep character (he tries to take the world's sins on his own back, and doesn't tell others his problems, for fear of seeming overbearing), and by the way you tend to portray him implies that you are biased and don't like his character...well too bad. If you make the other characters IC then you ought to do the same with Kenshin and Kaoru. these are pretty much my only complaints. i really like the way you created Tokio's character (smart, prideful, in control, etc.), and i like the S/T interactions (especially the way Saitoh tries to figure out what exactly he is feeling for Tokio. its cute! -). the A/M interactions are really cute (i luv them!). my last remark is that your story is confusing, what with the changing POVs and large groups of people talking (when writing for a group of more than 2 people try clarifying the dialogue and write in who is saying what, keep in mind that as the readers, we aren't really with the characters), i have to reread chaphters sometimes, to finally understand who is saying what, and sometimes i am still left with gaps. overall, this story's plot is amazing, it really atounded me when Enishi was arrested (btw, GREAT plot twist)and the romantic interactions are really good, however, Kenshin and Kaoru are portrayed wrongly and most of your dialogue is too confusing to read sometimes (try writing in "Sano said" or something like that, don't worry, we won't kill you if you over use the word "said" too much, as there are only limited synonyms for words like those. -). Good story, i'll be waiting for updates! *hint hint* -
| ak0 chapter 21 . 6/28/2004
It can't end like this! you haven't updated forever! but dont let it end like this. I want to know how it ends. I HAVE to know. I love your story. *applauds*
It can't end just like that... without ending. I'll die if it does. )
| Firuze Khanume chapter 20 . 5/25/2004
gr, gr,gr (as FF net doesn't allow mor than two repeated letters in a row...) I hate Takeda, but we all know he likes to play dirty... I will wait for next chapter, crossing my fingers for my boy's innocence...
| AutoFire chapter 21 . 2/21/2004
This story is great! But I'd like to point out something: Saitou's name isn't spelled with an "h" at the end. Other than that, great story!
| Arashi7 chapter 21 . 12/5/2003
Ok, finally I'm reviewing. I know, I know, it's a shame that I haven't reviewed yet, since I've been reading this story since you posted chapter... 17 or 18? Anyway, I'm apologizing now.
You write REALLY well. I'm sure you've heard that a thousand times, but it's the truth! Just get used to the praises. It won't be hard :)
There are many things I like in your story, but what I like most is the characterization of the rk gang, Saitou, Aoshi, Hiko and specially Tokio. She's oficially my new role model :) Women rule!
I even started to love Enishi, and I always disliked him, always thought he was just another wacko... I vote for Enishi and Kaoru together! Down with Kenshin!
God, I never thougth I would say that someday...
About Enishi's prison: no, he's not guilty. I'm sure he's not, I just CAN'T believe it. You know what I think? Something is wrong with Kenshin here. He's part of this, I know it! I think he may be the other Slayer. And Yutarou has got something to do with that, too. These two are hiding something, and I'm just dying to know why.
About Megumi and Tsunan - I don't see the chemistry you are talking about, honestly. In this last chapter I still think that Sano and Megumi interaction was more... like a couple. Tsunan's reactions towards Megumi seemed to me very similar to Aoshi's and even Tokio's.
About Misao and Aoshi: you're right, compared to S&T, they look cute, you know, 'the cold guy and the cheerful girl'. S&T are more passionate. And about Misao's 'adult side': if you wanted her to be a single mom, you could have made her have an adopted kid or raise a distant relative's child, maybe a nephew. She could take care of a sick relative. If you still wanna do something 'adult' with her, there are always the lemons... ;)
Oh, the lemons! My God, you're really good writing these things! Some writers do a great job with the normal stories but can't do lemons, or vice-versa. I'm glad you're not one of them.
About your vocabulary: it's great. I'm not a native english speaker (I live in Brazil) and I think your English is very good. You don't have to worry about that.
I understand Kaoru's confusion about Enishi very well. She doesn't think he's the Slayer, she's just shocked because it really makes sense. I think Kaoru left him because she was tired to care about someone who never seemed to care about her in return. A guy like him is not the easiest person to be with. But she failed to stop caring, because it's obvious Enishi is very important to her. She may like Kenshin, but Enishi is still in her mind. I don't think their affair is forgotten.
It's gonna be hard for the team to prove Enishi's innocence. I hope they can do it.
Hm, I think it is enough for now. I promise now I'll review every chapter. You deserve it, your story is absolutely amazing!
| MightyMightyMunson chapter 21 . 12/4/2003
I love Sanosuke's characterization as well as the fact that the team is banding together to support Enishi. The subtle manuvering of Saitou and Aoshi made me grin. *Those dark, silent types are really rather ingenious when it comes to taking care of their ladies*
Since it's December and the season for wish lists...I am hoping that sooner or later we will see some Aoshi/Misao romance, as well as some alone time for a certain wolf and his mate.
I like the realistic portrayal of the relationships in this as well as the nice increase in tenion that you added at the end. You are showing how high the stakes are as well as the fact that Enishi isn't the only target!
Keep up the good work..I can't wait to read more!
| L. Sith chapter 21 . 12/3/2003
In the Japanese criminal system are people guilty until proven innocent or innocent until proven guilty? And do they have juries or only professional judges?
| JadeGoddess chapter 21 . 12/3/2003
so there is something wrong with enishi?
| bonessasan chapter 21 . 12/2/2003
That situation worked out extremely well for Saitoh and Aoshi. It's almost like they planned it. Ug, I think I need to lay off the sarcasm. Before I go on and tell you that I'm looking forward to the next chapter (which I am) I had a question. What's wrong with blushing virgins? Just curious. Since I already told you I am looking forward to the next chapter, I guess I'm done for this review. Uh, . . . later!
| Mary-Ann chapter 21 . 12/2/2003
I think that you are doing a wonderful job explaining the investigation. You're taking your time, and that is really great because readers can fully understand the situation.
Saito/Aoshi little game was very, very amusing. I always thought that if there was a character in RK who could understand Saito (and could deserve some respect from our favorite cop) it was Aoshi.
I totally agree with you on Kaoru/Enishi vs. Kaoru/Kenshin relation. Although, if Kaoru is not absolutely certain that Enishi is innocent, then I'm afraid that not a lot of people are on his side. Troubles ahead for Enishi... (T-T)
