Damn, I can't believe this.

It's only 6 chapters, but it's already one of the top HP fics, and a personal favorite as well.

I am honestly enchanted by your world, few writers can make something so alive, even fewer in fanfiction.

Most fics are soulless. Their world lacks life. The characters don't feel like people. They feel like stickfigures that play out a story, and I always have to put in the extra mile to give them life in my head.
I don't have to do that here. It's so easy to imagine the characters, the places, the magic.

Oh, when was the last time I read something as silly as a impromptu joke fight between friends.

It's my greatest hangup with fanfiction: most of the time there's nothing new. The same cliches, the same characters, the same situations, the same world.
Hell, lately something as simple as a mix between the book world and the game world has been a plus in my eyes.

It's all that, or I'm just bad at searching , who knows

The Dutch should've exterminated everyone except for Peconigir's lineage because it is clear people like him and Gomrade are honorary Americans for how they carry themselves. I know you've said romance isn't exactly the focus here, which is completely fair and valid, but I would be curious to see what happens with Bones and Valkyrie.
