![]() ![]() ![]() .O_O. OH! POOR FRODO! *kisses his poor little hand* I always feel so bad when it comes to that part! He's so sweet trying to protect Bilbo! Namarië -Cloudy };~ |
![]() ![]() ![]() I always shudder at the thought of what whould have happend if Gollum ever *Had* really found the Shire... Dear Sam would have undoubtly beat the poor thing to death with The Gaffer's pitchfork the first time it tried touching Frodo... *shakes head sadly* (Am I the only one who liked Gollum? The speach patterns he used were adoribly childish. And you did feel bad for him truely.) Was reading to foreward for "The Hobbit" yesterday, did you know that Orc is a purely Hobbitish term? They are the only ones who used it originally, according to Tolkien. Anywho Namarië -Cloudy |
![]() ![]() ![]() My goodness! It took a while to get this box to pop up! This chapter is endearing in the fact that we get to see or dear sturn Istari show a softer side (And well he should! If I were Gandalf I should have been giving plenty of hugs and never letting those Hobbits out of my sight! (Tho that's the motherly instinct that naturally flows towards all things so tiny and cute I suppose...) Lol Frodo once again gets away with being impertinent! Tho against such a cuty I doubt Gandalf could have seriously ever been to harsh (tho he did turn Pippin into a frog for taking his staff! O_o; How he could be so evil is beyound me, Pippin is soo adorible and innocent even in the book canon.) Ah yes Old Toby! and Longbottem and another few I can't remember, JRRT actually wrote a peice at the foreword in LotR about Pipeweed! :rolls eyes: Did you ever notice that in the book Merry's character seems a bit bland? (mayhaps only in the first half I forget the latter.) and he doesn't really seem that attentive of Pippin as he is in the movie... perhapse its just that I like overemotional (well perhapse not to the point of sap) fluffy things. Namarië -Cloudy };~ |
![]() ![]() ![]() oh the evil prelude! *shiver* M! Everytime you describe food you make me hungry! (I fear I may be turning into a Hobbit! -wait, that would be a good thing!- Never mind! :3) If we use Obelia Medusa's scale to measure Frodo's age, he'd be like 9 or 10 human years, If you use mine he's 11... either way he's CUTE! X3 /"Does no one wonder why Frodo has not been seen?" "Ah, now that is another matter entirely. An entire delegation of children - or tweenagers, perhaps, most of them our next-door neighbors, I believe - demanded to know what I had done with him. The youngsters are a spirited bunch, at any rate. I told them that Frodo is a bit under the weather and will be staying in bed for a few days." Gandalf smiled. "I suspect they were disappointed that it was such a mundane explanation. My reputation as a 'conjuror' can only suffer because of it!"/ Lol, Gandalf is lucky my dear Folco Boffin was not part of that hoard, he'd have been convinced that Frodo needed to be rescued from -Some wildly over exsagerated curse here- and orginized a rescue party to invade Bag End! XDXD Namarië -Cloudy |
![]() ![]() ![]() Poor little Frodo! TT Aragorn having all the books and such to keep him busy is amusing, Frodo will make a bookworm of dear Estel yet! I wonder which he chose? Some nice adventure stories mayhaps, or some of Bilbo's poetry, hopefully nothing dully like arithmatic books or Farmers Almenac... Do Hobbits have Farmer's Almenacs? The Star Cookies sounded adorible! (not as adorible as Troll cookies mayhaps. but still cute!) Aww! Frodo's still little enough for Bilbo to pick him up and carry him! X3 This is a cute/sad chapter! Poor little Frodo worrying about Aragorn being all alone and sick, Aragorn needs to watch his mouth so as not to upset the poor darling so much! -Cloudy };~ |
![]() ![]() ![]() Mae Govennan! I was about to go and read ch. 3 without even stopping (Totally forgot to review till I'd loaded the next chapter...) /"Don't be silly, Gandalf," Frodo sighed in exasperation. "He can barely manage the soup!"/ FAV LINE Aragorn's reaction was PRICELESS Frodo is adorible! This is my fave chapter, the whole first conversation between Aragorn and Frodo and all is so cute, tho when Frodo said about missing his parents I started crying the 1st time I read it! By now I know the trick of blinking rapidly and thinking of happy thoughts (Like Pippin with his pet rabbit Hildibit! get it? like Hildigrim? or Hildifons?) /Frodo added this question to the dozens already on his mental list. He hoped not to make the wizard angry with too many questions, but then again, an angry wizard might be an exciting thing... After all, he hadn't seen Gandalf do *anything* magical yet./ He keeps that line of thought up and we'll be having Roast Hobbit for dinner, lol! And yet he was never given the oppertunaty to ask, sad... you need to work that question list into a future story! ;3 Anywho. onwards! -Cloudy };~ |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay! I'm doing this! I actually did this backwards! See I just got done reading BCOP today! and now I'm rereading QUARANTINED, but, whatever. I intend to review ever chapter -even if it kills me!- I have always loved this first chapter, the image of tiny Frodo in the little dressing gown rubbing the sleep from his eyes is adorible (I know that is not a real scene but I can picture it clearly.) Bilbo is so flustered I'm suprise he didn't drop Gandalf's staff or knock something over! He's potrayed as a right klutz in "The Hobbit". Aragorn wanting to leave so as not to make Frodo sick, even though he's so ill himself is enough to make one cry in sympathy! He's such a sweetheart! And Frodo... *Squeels wildly* HE'S SO FLIPPIN' CUTE! I WANT A HOBBITLING! That he gets all excited about Gandalf being there and shoots off rapid fire questions is just too precious! "I'm so glad to meet you, Gandalf. How wonderful!" Aw! X3 anywho, on to the next chapter! -Cloudy };~ (-looky a rose!) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow... this is such a beautiful story. The young hobbits are SO cute, and the bond that Frodo makes with Gandalf and Aragorn (especially Aragorn) is really adorable. This is my first tween!Frodo 'fic, and I must say, it's really, really good. You write extremely well, and the description and dialogue flows naturally. I saw you told someone that you don't really have the Tolkien-esque writing some other LOTR fanfiction writers have. Well, I must say, I'm glad that you don't. xD The reason I've never read the books is because I can't get through Tolkien's dry writing. No offense to the books or anything... I love the storyline. Anyways, I'm getting off track. The point is, this is a beautiful story! I can see why it has over 1,400 reviews. Thank you for writing it, and for continuing to write adorable, wonderful LOTR fanfiction! :) P.S. Do hobbits really give /other/ people gifts on their birthday? That's... interesting. ;) P.P.S. I love all of the little details that you have in this story. Like how all the Gamgee girls like Frodo (can't say I blame them; Elijah Wood as Frodo was my first celebrity crush... xD), how Sam sees Frodo as a fragile plant that's been uprooted, and how Aragorn fails at making cookies. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Frodo is so sweet... I love him ! Anyway, My review shall not be more constructive as that until I read the very end ! :P See you |
![]() ![]() ![]() Reading this story has totally made my day. I giggled, and laughed endlessly, and I intend to continue to read the rest of your large library. Thanks Much :D Your new biggest fan, Fireboltcrazed. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Besides Keep him secret... this is my favourite story of yours. I kept thinking about it and just saw that I hadnt reviewed it before, shame. I like how Gandalf comes into play here and the way they all interact. The atmosphere is quiet and comforting, and yet theres the twist with Frodo in danger of contracting the disease. I could very well imagine poor Aragorn being out in the woods all alone and ill... Well done, the whole aspect of friendship between the hobbits and the big folk is very heartwarming! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Aww! *backflips with happiness* I really, really loved reading this. The whole feel of it is so Shire-y (if that wasn't a word before, it is now!) and sweet. And the spelling, grammar and plot is all good too, but they're just minor details. ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() A great end to the story. I liked the part about Sam reading, and the part where Gandalf helped Aragorn to see his father. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Another great chapter. I liked the part where Bilbo said that Aragorn had slept through a couple Elvish drinking songs when Gandalf had arrived. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Another great chapter. I liked the part where Gandalf was checking on Aragorn. |
