![]() ![]() ![]() Another great chapter. I liked the part where Frodo was checking on Aragorn, and the part where Bilbo was teaching Frodo a couple new words in Elvish. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A great chapter. I liked the part where Gandalf was surprised that Frodo was living with Bilbo. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is the kind of story I love to read when I look through Lord of the Rings. No angst, no oddly-gotten pairings, no original characters taking over the plot. Just the characters, the settings, the interaction, and a tale that adds to the reason people love Tolkien's universe. Frodo's too naive to realize he's brave, just yet, and the introductions to all the other characters made this a very enjoyable piece. Thanks for writing this! |
![]() ![]() ![]() As always, excellent story - this is my 3rd reading of Quarantined, and this line always makes me laugh: “You have a lot of names,” said Frodo with a grin. “Why shouldn’t your horse have a lot of names, too?” There's good ole hobbit sense for you! Love it! :-) |
![]() ![]() ![]() aww that was absolutely terrific, ive read it a few times now, definitely my favourite fic at the moment... although if i had a top ten they would all be urs anyway - (i started reading this ages ago but i had to confine myself to oneshots cos of homework hehe, but im so incredibly glad i got to finish this, im definitely going to read all of its sequels... non-stop if possible - (and ive already started anyway... im not very organised clearly -) - but thankyou so much for such awesome fics, your writing is most definitely the perfect way to relax and unwind and i think frodo might have gotten better more quickly if he had been able to as well -... btw aragorn looking after him was so cute - you definitely have a talent for aragorn/frodo hurt/comfort fics and cos of you theyre my favourites - thanks - keep writing and have fun (and just let me know if you want me to stop with the reading and reviewing of every single one of your fics -, i cant promise i'll stop reading though hehe) have fun and stay safe - |
![]() ![]() I absolutely love this story! You portray the characters so wonderfully. The exchange: "And do you think the King will come back, Frodo?" "I don't know, Aragorn," the boy said seriously. "Because I don't know where he's gone to." is so perfect. Now I'm going to get back to finishing the story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed this story. I congratulate you on writing a quality piece of work that is long enough to be published into a book. :) I have skimmed over several of your other stories and I cannot wait to read them fully. Thank you very much for these stories, good quality fan fiction is hard to find. ~Valinor Sunset |
![]() ![]() ![]() Absolutely fantastic! Well done - I loved it :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really loved this fanfic. I saved it to my laptop last night and read the whole thing today with only a bahtroom break or so. This is the first of your stories I've read, and I will surely read more. ) Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really liked this one... especially that it wasn't actually focused just on the hurt/comfort aspects, but on the development of a friendship relationship between Bilbo, Frodo, Aragorn and Gandalf. I liked the little running gags about the Trolls in Bag End who left dishes unwashed and so forth. I like the bit about Sam's name for Arthad the horse. I giggled at Aragorn's astonishment at how much food healthy hobbits can put away in the course of a day! And I truly liked the way you ended it, with Gandalf giving Aragorn the gift of the image of his father... the parallels between Aragorn and Frodo in both being orphaned and both being taken in by beings who loved them very much (because I do believe the Elrond does love Aragorn-he's just overly possessive of his daughter!). This is one I'm going to definitely reread again. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() These couple lines "Aragorn sighed in defeat. “Perhaps it would be easier if I just changed his name.” “You have a lot of names,” said Frodo with a grin. “Why shouldn’t your horse have a lot of names, too?”" were hilarious. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love the lightness and the feeling of the story! yay! makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Every once in a while, I think it's always a good idea to just go through ones favorites list, just to remember why they're there, and I was doing this that when I came to this story. Wow that was rather proper . . . Anywayy, when I started to read this I took a little gander to how many reviews you had gotten, and I found that you had 1390 reviews . . . one less then year the story is set in. I thought, "Well she should have one more!", so I made it my mission (james bond music starts playing) to write a review so the number would be the same, but I had to find a spot to write one. I was going to wait until the end, but this chapter made me write it now. I've read this story a lot of times (I would use a better word, but I happen to be a spelling challenged individual), and when ever I get to this part of the story I start to get nervous. This chapter only fuels my nail biting habit. As soon Strider finds Frodo gone I sit a little closer to the screen and my fingers start to go toward my mouth, and I start thinking, "Oh, Frodo!". It takes a good writer to make someone feel emotion after the first reading, and you very much surpass being a good writer. I cannot wait for the day when I can buy a story you have written at the book store. Happy 1391 comment on Quarantined! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I loved it! I read the entire thing in one morning [only stopping to make popcorn!] You write Frodo so cute. I look forward to reading other hobbit fics of yours! |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a sweet story! I enjoyed the meeting of Aragorn and Frodo. Your right the journey between Bree and Rivendell would have been alot different if there had been more emotions and angst behind it! Now on to read the sequel! |
