God I'm a horrible person. I was actually disliking this story and how corny the whole thing was but then she got into the bitter internal rant about how fake it all was and how selfserving the people around her are and I finally saw that family resemblance with Panacea I'd been looking for!
And a Taylor cameo too, this is surprising I'm actually torn. Didn't think I could hope for more than her violently clinging to her last human anchor but seeing her bitter, jaded but still struggling to put herself together. Ah she made herself actually likable and clinched it with the whole forgiving Taylor thing (really though a benevolent warlord is the best thing that could happen to Brockton Bay and the taking down of Marquis, who while not benevelont was at least honourable, was the worst)

Aw Defiant, actually liked him, unlike that Armsmaster arsehole! I don't see this going well though tbh... Maybe they'll make her a cyborg body too?

I understand the need to hate her sister but did she really take her life from her? Wouldn't she have died wiithout healing anyway? I suppose Amy should've just healed her without anything else but... still...
Oh... Nooooo! I mean, I guess this is the important bit (and it is awesome) but I was kinda expecting to see the journey or a non warped view of how Panacea feels seeing Vicky again. I wonder how much I'll prefer this to the Silver Path. More chapters means more went wrong right?

Huh this is an interesti way to take te fic, is it bad I just want her to go back to Amy? She's the one who did the most damage to her life but to be honest human tethers are important and she is all she has left...

I never liked Victoria in canon, she seemed (was) a sanctimonious idiot completely oblivious to anything outside of her own tiny little worldview but I guess with all the fanon it's hard to remember she actually ends up as one of the more tragic characters. In fanon it's all about Amy who somehow became this saint like figure while Victoria is either the one Taylor has to steal Amy from, nothing more than a wrecking ball that shows up every once in a while or a pushy friend to Taylor that acts as the mark of a slightly more optimistic fic. I wasn't that interested in this fic to star with but it's kind of nice to see her canon tragic character fleshed out and shown as more human that she ever seemed before she was physically warped.

Didn't Weaver beat Prism up and nearly kill her boyfriend at some point
