You are a good man for doing this author sama, instead of just abandoning it like some road side shit stuck to your shoes you took the effort to complete what you started and now this story is complete and people would be able to reread it someday .

Boruto is catching up to the manga and its fire but I agree some of boruto moments and episodes are disappointing

It's disappointing that Boruto and lousy reviews contributed to your lack of interest in continuing on the with the story. While it's easy enough to go the cliches of "ignore the haters"-because 10k faves and follows must see SOMETHING here worth the time-and "disregard any canon that doesn't suit your story," it's probably a bit harder when you're the one doing the writing.

pity it had to end, but better to have end it properly than leave it to rot.

This was one of my all time favorite fanfics, thank you for writing as much as you did! I appreciate the outline and ending scene as well, it brought some closure to the story. It hurt to read, in a good way. You are a great writer, and I wish you the best on whatever you work on in the future!
