I mean kakashi is right. Even in our lives, what you look like determines so many things in life. Literally working in business half the time, you get contracts based off what you look like,how charming you are and how smoothly you're able to talk the talk. I’m sure you’ve gotten many comments about it, but here’s one more person that loved that little insert poking fun at the crazy things that happen in Naruto. Even though Kishimoto can absolutely be a genius at some things, his story is certainly very wild at many (most?) times, lol

I guess a motivated shikamaru will get chuunin slower than a lazy shikamaru
