Absolutely brilliant story! I’d rate this up with Harry Crow in terms of game changers! The only non Harry centric fic I’ve read that kept me spellbound.

This is one of the few stories that I could not put down till the end (though I am still hoping there is more to come). I absolutely loved it, way more than the original. Thank you!

Tiny observation about purebloods, half-bloods, mugleborns and mugles:

Varna was a framework for grouping people into classes, first used in Vedic Indian society. It is referred to frequently in the ancient Indian texts. The four classes were the Brahmins (priestly people), the Kshatriyas (also called Rajanyas, who were rulers, administrators and warriors), the Vaishyas (artisans, merchants, tradesmen and farmers), and Shudras (labouring classes). The varna categorisation implicitly had a fifth element, being those people deemed to be entirely outside its scope, such as tribal people and the untouchables.

Wow, you just totally went out of your way to make excuses for Snape here, didn't you? He's not a bitter, vindictive, jerk, he's a professional teaching a very dangerous class, which of course totally excuses taking his vitriol out on Harry. If this is the level of Snape-justification that can be expected from this story, I think I'll give it a miss.

You know, it is very difficult to find an OC that is likeable, realistic and of course not a MarySue.. But in this case I just want to say Bravo, you did it perfectly...
I particularly like the Valerias POv in things that are really wrong with the Wizarding world (like common sense) and I definitely loved her relationship with her family... I know that if I send my children to a boarding school I would wanted to spend holidays with them and try to learn more about their world.. No that I would even let my children go to Hogwards in the first place.. Anyway, thanks for a fantastic story...

I can't read this, in an established fandom having the main character not only be an OC, but replace a canon character is just idiotic. Why couldn't this have just been Hermione? A more ambitious, cunning Hermione yes, but still very little would have changed if it was Hermione, and yet it would get at least twice the readership.

Dark!Hermione is a criminally underused idea, especially one's where she isnt Dark simply because she is in love with an Evil character and becomes submissive to them. This could have been one of the best, and yet you decide to make it an OC instead.

The plot of the fic literally could have been 'a More Ambitious, Ruthless, and Cunning Hermione is sorted into Slytherin and becomes fascinated with Dark Magic'. AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER. Nothing would have to have been changed except names, her appearence, and the her siblings.

Dark Hermione's that aren't BDSM fantasies with an Evil!Top and Bottom!Hermione are so bloody rare. And you could have added to it, and I would have fell absolutely in love with the fic. The whole idea is an Anti-Hermione, so why didnt you just make it an ACTUAL Anti-Hermione, i.e Dark Hermione.
