This is, hands down, the best scorose one-shot I have read. The writing style... the character development... the plot... nothing is lacking!

I often come back to this fic. It's so well written, so lovely. The characters are so well developed in so few words. Writing as a character who is a writer and that is close enough to have a sensible perspective of Rose and Scorpius' story and is also very justifiably heart broken...*Chef's kiss*

this was such an interesting taste on scorose! usually it's written in 1st/3rd person rose or scorpius POV, but having lysander scamander detail their relationship was a great idea, because it felt like i was pressing my ear against the glass of that classroom when they confessed their feelings for each other. really well written, as always:)

Omg this has to be one of my favourite scorose fics ever.
I love Scamander's POV and every time he mentions how he understands why Scorpius loves Rose like guh. Died. I loved the part where you describe Rose looking for a person, being Scorpius, rather than a home, rather than settling down and gosh I teared up several times and gahhh love this fic! And Scorpius only willing to kiss Rose? That part killed me. Or maybe the part where despite thinking she is engaged, Scorpius was still looking for her after so much time has passed... You know what, every part killed me. Scorpius's selflessness, Ross's kindness - I love how you characterized them. Like aragh I'm trying so hard to figure out how to say how much I loved this fic but no more words. This was amazing thank you so much!

I love how self contained this is. I love how much Lysander tells us about, well, everything in such a short story. I love how nice he is. I adore this specific portrayal of scorose, the love that defies logic. I love your Rose, the way you described her as someone who genuinely cares, genuinely listens. It's amazing.

Another piece of yours that I love - I realize I may have reviewed anonymously as AF when your first published this years ago, but wanted to tell you again how much I enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing.
