What I hate, about Harry Potter fanfics, and in canon was the so called Blood Wards on the Dursleys. Also after year 4, Harry didn't actually have to go back to them. I just realized how much I hate canon harry

Yeah, Harry survived. Even though he is strong of will, he is not strong enough to shrug off the allure; kind of a let down with that. I wonder what lingers from the soul shard?

I always got the impression that Umbridge probably told the Dementors to target Harry and kiss him if they got the chance.

I dont think i've EVER seen a fanfic where Dumbledore is made to fucking PAY for his transgressions and stupidity, assuming he is not evil. Sometimes he is made to be repentant, but that's only on words. He is never actually made to DO anything to repay Harry for the abuse.

Did you just skip a couple of chapters ? You describe events as if they happened, yet this is the first time we hear of it.

I don't know about in Britain, but I'm confident that they were always known as Mobile Phones in Austrailia, and I would assume that the same would be true of the UK.
I'm enjoying the story. I do tend to think that Hurcule could be a little more nuanced (he is a little Gary Stu), but I can live with it easily enough.

Hi, I have to say I'm really enjoying the fic so far. I recently started shipping Harry and Fleur together and this is pretty much encouraging it in my mind. I don't really have a lot to say about the fic itself, I think that'll come to mind later after I finish this review, but you mentioned dollhouse in one of your comments and I just had to mention (if you didn't know) that there's a tv series called Dollhouse that I think might fit your comparison.

As I looked over the listing of your works I noticed that, by far, the majority of them were crossovers. This was the only series of a sole HP story. I don't know if I am in the majority when I tell you that one of the main reasons I read HP fanfiction is that I know and love the characters. I like to read different takes of their relationships (like this one), backgrounds and conflicts. An occasional original character (i.e. someone that gives Harry additional training or advantages) can make the plot more interesting for me, but when an author does a crossover with a different universe and set of characters with whom I am not familiar I am no longer interested in following it. It isn't a HP story for me any more. This is especially true when the author develops the story as if the reader is familiar with the crossed universe, backstories, characters, etc.
Perhaps this is the reason why this particular series is your most popular HP one (in addition to your excellent writing). Thank you once more for sharing it with us.

Anyone who liked this fanfiction and "The Accidental Animagus" will certaonly love a fanfiction that goes by the name of "The Darkness Within", as well as "Harry Potter and the Gift of Memories"
