   Fiction Haven chapter 2 . 8/27/2024 The first chapter has a good impression. I thought it would bring Bloodborne's grim atmosphere into the RWBY universe. But then, the Hunter turned useless, enough to make brats' protection. I'm all for 'losing power and gaining it back,' but this is fanfiction. We all know you lot don't have enough work ethics to finish it. Lo and behold, it has been dropped 7 years ago. There are dropped stories that are still good even in their incomplete state. This one is leaving you asking, "What are you trying to show?" Never treat fanfictions like a novel. World building is not what you should be concerned about—the original work you are mooching off already explains it well—but the character's depth. Dilly-dallying progression is a stupid trope in fanfictions. |

Still though, I can't help myself to say, that you have a bad habit in being too unecessarily and overly detail orientated in describing situations, mostly when it comes in putting the readers in the role of the characters. Reading this story, can feel often irritatingly tiresome and stagnating, due to that. Especially when you're anxiously looking forward for the next step of progress in the plot to happen or the next action scene. I would recommend to practice in abridging, yet also (if possible) to look for someone trustworthy, who can help in proofreading. Nonetheless, keep up the good work. |
