![]() ![]() ![]() So. Many. Feels. And I'm loving how you're writing Arthur! (No surprise there...) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I definitely cheered when Gwaine showed up. Yay! But that's really the only yay. Everything else so far is ouch. :*( I can't wait to see where you're going to take it! (Also, I know I still owe you a reply on your last message. Life has just been crazy. But I haven't forgotten!) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I LOVE THIS SO MUCH, oh my god! You write the scenes and characters so beautifully. I usually don't read extra chapters but I'm rushing off to read them for this... :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story is so well thought out! Loving it :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is wonderful! I mean, really heartbreaking and sad and I cried so much. But in a good way. I'm so glad I found it and that there's a continuation to read. Yay! |
![]() ![]() Your Gaius is more fking irritating and boils my blood than the canon Gaius that I already hate or some of the other annoying dik Gaius in other fanfictions. Unlike most times where I wish to kill off the Gaius or give him a sound thrashing or verbal abuse— In your fic I simply want to DELETE him. Erased. Gone. Whoosh. Non-fking-existent. ¡I FKING HATE YOUR FKING GAIUS! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Lancelot was always my favorite of the knights, so this makes me happy. :-) I have really enjoyed these add on chapters— very nicely done. |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a really well done story. I enjoyed this thoughtful look at what could have been. Thanks so much for writing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Okay, here we go. I was a little hesitant about jumping into this one because I don't usually like to sit down with longer stories, but I am so glad that I went ahead and read it. What a lovely piece of work! I was thoroughly impressed. You added so many dimensions to the story that made it considerably more real.. the politics, the emotion, the injuries. Even what could be considered poor grammar somehow added to the feeling of legitimacy and, especially in dialogue, a good sense of how the characters would sound. Your chapters made me anxious and excited; I could hardly bear to close my laptop at the end of the day. I felt that the characters and situations were really excellently handled. I was highly satisfied with turns in events because it always felt like yes, that is what that character would do in that situation. I was equally satisfied with the ending as it felt so proper and natural, not forced or demanding that I read a sequel (that being said, I think I will go for your sequel, after I finish watching season 5!). Overall, a beautiful story, wonderfully crafted. Thank you for sharing, I loved it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a great speech to make Uther understand that he can no longer carelessly spout orders and expect them to be brainlessly obeyed - that he's not speaking to a child, but an equal. I must say Morgana's death caught me by surprise, and made me more sad than I expected considering the trajectory she's had in this fic. A part of me will always regret that she couldn't be redeemed. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Unorganised thoughts about the last few chapter: The way Arthur started questioning Morgana and her motives - i thought it was brilliantly developed. The progressions was so well paced, first just picking up the details and incongruities, and slowly putting together small bits and pieces of conversations, mulling it all over, and finally looking for the type of behaviour that would confirm his suspicions - I loved every bit of it, it felt so believable. I enjoy Gwaine a lot as always. And finally! Finally he knows! Oh how I have longed for this moment, and I'm so happy it wasn't eternally delayed - the moment Arthur was ready to know, they let him find out. It was a healing reunion for my heart xD |
![]() ![]() ![]() How does someone deal with the weight of Merlin's devotion? It must be frightening, knowing there is so much faith placed in your character, so many expectations and dreams. And finding it so hard to believe, that he deserves it, is precisely the reason why Arthur does. These chapters have me on the edge of my seat! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, and it starts. I'm relieved, because I needed Arthur to start having more knowledge of the situation, enough for his conjectures to start getting closer to the truth, and for his mind to give him some alternative, not actually so far fetched scenarios... I'm proud it didnt actually take him long. I'm not sure if it was this chapter or the last but the reflection on how part of him wants so avoid thinking about Merlin but it angers him that other people seem to forget him was wrenching. |
![]() ![]() ![]() "It must have looked to him like I didn't care" IT DID AND IT WAS TERRIBLE. HE WAS SO UNHAPPY. I AM SAD FOR ARTHUR THIS ISN'T FAIR SOMEONE TELL HIM THE TRUTH THIS IS CRUEL |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love how your Arthur is never dumb. He pays attention, picks up details. Maybe he doesnt instantly reach conclusions but he gives them their right thought and doesnt conveniently ignore information. Also, I'm suffering with the torture. And I don't quite get why Gaius isn't enlisting Arthur's help for his plan - I hope they don't interfere with eath other's machinations. |
