GilcuruLend chapter 1 . 7/3/2019 Interesting story, with its themes about immortality. I think it does bring up good questions, though I agree that death is generally a very bad thing. |
mark chapter 1 . 1/30/2018 The people of Crystal Tokyo, like those of the Moon Kingdom, have a long lifespan. Which is not the same as living forever. |
mark-engels chapter 1 . 6/20/2015 Reading this blast from the past again was a treat. I always enjoy your characterization of the Senshi and the other characters. Here as I've come to expect they were portrayed as real people with hopes and dreams and flaws like the rest of us. They are in character and well-characterized. Chibi-usa has grown into a fine young woman. She is her mother's daughter but not her clone, which I was glad to see. Oh, and Dark Sodom...same joint Jinto would later be dragged to in Furlough? :P The question of immortality is an interesting one, and I like how you address those issues here. Definitely gave me food for though back then and does here now. If I remember rightly this story is of the same vintage as El Hazard: Earth. The questions here faced by an entire society are the same ones Ifurita and Makoto (the male one) had to deal with. I liked how you handled them there and here. May the work inspire all of us to ensure our life is one worth having been lived, by whatever measure meaningful to each of us. And discerning that is a worthy pursuit unto itself. MJE |
maryyorke chapter 1 . 6/14/2015 I feel like I've read this before. Anyway, brilliant story. I love ALL of your stories. |
