Wow, honestly I would love to see this turned into a longer story and see Owen and I-Rex becoming pack mates.

Plot bunny aside, I love this concept that those idiot scientists used "that" DNA when created I-Rex. Clever and would be even more terrifying as a new hybrid species. Great work! :D

Thank you! That was exactly my thought while watching the movie! I was actually a bit disappointed when they said all it was was raptor DNA. Glad I wasn't the only one who had this thought.

This is such an interesting concept, especially since D-Rex was so smart in the first place. In all of the JP movies (especially 1 & 3) velociraptors are incredibly smart—but not as smart as "whatever those scientists cooked up in that lab." I was considering writing a story about her growing up in the confinement, and this would be great to tie in. Of course, I'd credit you. :) too cute with all of the raptor memories Owen had. Great movie, great story!

This was an more than amazing story.

Loved the little side notes about the raptors stealing his food and how the connotation of the words was affection rather than annoyance. Loved this, wonderfully written, and interesting idea.

Yeah, I was thinking that the Indominus Rex could've potentially had human DNA, especially with how smart she was. It would be the one thing that would give the Indominus Rex something that would scare the crap out of humans even if they couldn't recognize it. Sadly that wasn't the case but I guess Raptor DNA would've worked just as well.

Loved this, mostly because this is the direction I originally thought the movie would go about the Indominus Rex's origins. While Raptors are remarkably intelligent, the Indominus Rex demonstrated cunning and shrewdness that you could only see in a human. I mean, it's STILL not clarified what other species were part of its genetic code. For all we know, it *is* part human(and I wouldn't be surprised if this is revealed or used in the next sequel).

... This gave me chills. But amazingly written, and is another instant fave.

Those scientists were idiots just asking for a disaster to happen when they made the indominus. This is really good. Keep up the good work.

This was amazing and before you pointed the thumbs out I figuredyou were headed towards human. But just the storyidea and the fact that you thought of that was amazing. This was freaking wonderful and you have great talent.

I'm almost screaming, this is so great! I literally just saw the movie and one of my top two favorite things from it was Owen's relationship with the raptors and you caught it /wonderfully/. Ah, I love it! And the whole tone and the way Owen rationalizes it is amazing. I'm kicking just thinking about it. Thank you so much for sharing this, it was a wonderful read! Happy writing! :D
