I'm not usually comfortable with a characters sexuallity being changed, but this was a great story. I often notice that this direction leads to terrible stories, but I am honestly impressed. Very well done.

I really don't understand what Blake issue is with Hermione? Unless she betrayed in the future, then he seems like an $$hole for trying to protect her parents in whatever way she could...I mean there doesn't seem to be anyone else giving her parents well being the time of day...and as a kid, she did the best she could...and if she can't fix what she did then she paid the ultimate sacrifice of losing her family so she could help Harry...bc otherwise, couldn't she just have told her parents what was going on and just packed everything up and then all move to another country?

It's just sad about Hermione...she's still a kid...and has she really been a bad friend, even in this story? Plus, Ron gets to stay and have the protection of the adults but she's thrown to the wolves...which seems no better than what other adults did to Harry...bc for their own benefit neither Arthur or molly stood up for the defenseless child that Hermione is...

Ginny (and Molly) actually reminds eerilie of the parents and the daughter in the story "Rabbits" in Petshop of Horrors.

In that story their daughter became a drugaddict and a criminal, and they actually killed her by giving in to her crying how she wanted her drugs in the hospital.

Dudley would, by all logic, end up the same way.
Going from bullying to crime, falling in with the wrong crowd, sooner or later bumping into drugs because his friends would do them, Petunia giving him money for it... honestly... his best chance would be going to jail, and that is practically a school in how to become MORE criminal and a better criminal with how it's run in most countries.

To never be punished for anything just makes you believe you can do whatever you want, and all you have to do is turn on the waterworks and you'll get off without so much as a talking-to.

It's almost funny how much the dursley's abused both the children -just in very different ways.

If houseelves can bring other people with them when they apparate, why did Kretcher not bring Regelus with him out of that cave?

Why didn't Regelus tell Krecher to save them both?

I've read this a few times - binged really - I go back to it when I want a good HP read. So enjoyable!

Decent story. Good length. Has some tropes of course but some are twisted just enough to still be interesting. There does tend to be a problem where the characters discover or read something, but we only get their reactions or discussion about it. Sometimes you can get the info through that but not all the time. So there are quite a few places where we don’t have the full picture. Also, ch 47 has a confusing bit about Lucius’ motives/actions. The bit about the mother and child doesn’t makes sense, and seems to be contradictory to information we get later. All the being said with some editing this story could be great!
