Great stuff, although I'm really getting annoyed about her enemies getting abilities. Still have no idea how anything could hurt her in invincible hero mode, seems like a nerf for no reason other than to make her mistrust Tt. Finally what is her PRT rating, you keep hinting at it but we haven't been told anything about it, really frustrating. Update again soon :D

Seriously, I know the comparison between the three are here, but I can't help but she her as slightly childish because of this. I know it's only natural, but to be honest, the worst thing she did was accidentally tip you off into a big villain gathering that went wrong because of your bullshit 'roll the dice' probability powers, you arrested half her team, threatened her and made her risk her own life to tell you stuff.

Anyway, crazy stuff is happening, onward.

Honestly I'm hoping its an Endbringer or maybe even the S-Nine that kills him (since EVERYONE knows those two threats), just to completely throw him off stride. The only real possible planning for either of them is to simply not be in the region.

The future is very, VERY promising, and Taylor has become too relying on her power, and Rachel is hiring for protection.

I predict a great story ahead, and I don't need Dinah to do it.

OK, so first some clarification.

-Taylor's power works with a mental rolodex of tropes.
-This is not every trope ever, it's a limited selection, and even some of the ones she has are 'blacked out' until she gets more experience/gets older (the 'getting older' bit makes me think Taylor's future boyfriend(s)/girlfriend(s) is going to LOVE some of those selections...).
-Taylor has an unspecified number of 'slots' for herself.
-The slots have an order, and tropes at the top of the list get higher priority.
-When another parahuman is near, ONE slot for them appears.
-If that parahuman has any tropes assigned to them that Taylor doesn't already have, she gains that trope for her rolodex (such as Multi-Melee-Master, from Armsmaster).
-Sometimes Taylor doesn't have control over the trope assigned to a parahuman.

OK, that is my understanding of Taylor's powers in this fic. Please correct me if I'm wrong about anything, or if I missed anything.

Now for the end of this chapter.

Rachel had Sidekick, which enabled her to heal Angelica's eyes, but when Rachel became overcome with happiness because of the effects of Sidekick... She spontaneously gained a new trope. It has to be new because Taylor didn't notice it leaving her rolodex.

Now, Sidekick was still active at this point, since Taylor ALSO didn't notice Sidekick returning to her rolodex.

This leads me to one of three conclusions.
-Rachel gained a second slot.
-Rachel somehow has two tropes active in one slot.
-There is a Master aspect to Taylor's powers, and she just gained a new bestie for life.

Any of these have potentially enormous impact on Taylor's development from here.

That or I really don't understand what just happened...

Also, is this fic posted anywhere like SB, QQ, or SV? Any of them would be a goo forum to post this on, and you could have working links for the tropes like you originally intended.

... So, wait, basically people have their OWN troupes? And Taylor can interact with them?
