Difdi chapter 22 . 5/12/2016 This version of Taylor Hebert sure is one hell of a hypocrite. She violates the unwritten rules when she feels like it, then is shocked and outraged that people would treat her as not being protected by the rules - the thing is, the unwritten rules have always been reciprocal. Someone who obeys the rules gets the protections of the rules, someone who breaks them doesn't get those protections. Hopefully someone will smack her upside the head with a clue by four before she violates an Endbringer truce. Endbringer truces are not unofficial at all, contrary to what she believes. Violating one of those truces, assuming she survives violating it, will result in a PRT kill order. |
Difdi chapter 12 . 5/12/2016 Taylor is in no position to comlain about Rachel breaking the rules, since Taylor broke them first. Rulebreakers are not protected by the rules, nor are their families. If Taylor gets a reputation for ignoring the rules, well, it's not hard to arrange a fatal accident for Danny Hebert, and it's not against the rules to do that to the family of a rulebreaker. Taylor can't have it both ways. Either she follows the rules and is protected by them or she doesn't and isn't. |
Difdi chapter 9 . 5/12/2016 Truces aren't stupid, Taylor is merely naive and ignorant. It comes down to simple math. Villains outnumber heroes worldwide about 9 or 10 to 1. So if Leviathan attacks Brockton Bay and 400 capes show up to fight him, that means about 360 of them are likely to be villains. Of those 400, about 80 will be killed in action and about 200 will be wounded. But if Taylor gets a reputation as a trucebreaker, the villains will just stay away. So 40 capes show up to defend Brockton Bay instead of 400. If they engage, it's just about certain that they will all die. So, far more likely, the Protectorate commander on-site will declare the city lost and order a retreat. But even if he orders them to engage, 40 capes isn't enou to drive off Leviathan, so the end result is pretty much the same as a general retreat. Leviathan does to Brockton bay what he did to Newfoundland, and everyone in the city who cannot fly dies. The population of Brockton Bay is, what, in the 100,000-200,000 range? Well, asid from the tiny fraction that managed to flee, they're now all dead. So much for protecting her city. |
Alfonse08 chapter 1 . 4/24/2016 Well this looks like it has the potential to be humorous, let's see where this ends up going. |
