SlytherinQueen86 chapter 65 . 1/12/2020 I am really enjoying this story so far. :-) I really hope that Myrcella gets a happy ending. I always thought it was so sad the way the two youngest lions suffered for their parent’s mistake. |
hunterofartemis126 chapter 65 . 1/12/2020 I truly love the story. I very much look forward to the next update. |
Literary Consumer chapter 65 . 1/12/2020 I didn’t think that I’d enjoy such a Bolton centric plot and was very delighted to be proved wrong. I love this story! Great work and I can’t wait to read more! |

Guardonion chapter 65 . 1/10/2020 It is a fascinating direction you've taken this story toward. I have not had any major complaints during binge-reading this and what little I have are little more than personal wishes on the direction of the story itself, which I'm not going to address because it is obviously your story and its not my place to dictate you how to write it. |

XBolt51 chapter 65 . 1/9/2020 I actually like Oberyn trying to reach out to Quentyn. It was a really nice moment but I felt really bad for Quentyn. How he seems so full of doubt and insecure; it almost reminds me of Ned in some ways but worse. I do hope Jaime gets some kind of redemption sometime soon. It’s deviated a lot from canon but it’s weird seeing Jaime swaggering about like he’s hot shit. And I really liked Kevan’s comments of concern toward Myrcella, she’s definitely better than her mother and deserved better than her. I do hope that Margaery doesn’t end up marrying Joffrey, and I kinda want Renly to die. I know you deviated a lot from canon but I feel so bad for Sam in that moment. I kinda hoped that Jon had a good enough influence on most of the recruits to prevent him from being bullied as much as he did from canon. |
Ai102 chapter 65 . 1/9/2020 This was a nice filler chapter. How many chapters to go before the sequel? |
Greatazuredragon chapter 65 . 1/9/2020 Nice chapter, good work. |
Jeeshadow1 chapter 65 . 1/9/2020 Caught up on this story as well! Very good and excited that it is so close to done! It has been a very interesting story and even more twists and turn seem to await in the sequel! Stannis is in a much better position in this story as opposed to in the books but it will be interesting to see if Ned will still want to support him if Stannis starts burning people. Will also be interesting to see what happens with Renly. Also poor Myrcella! I hope things turn around for her as she is my favorite character in this story! |
rebfan90 chapter 65 . 1/9/2020 great chapter |
Guest chapter 65 . 1/9/2020 Good chapter. Much better than the previous ones, since there is actual plot-advancement here. The dornish plot-line is speed up slightly. Doran furthermore decides to inform his daughter of his plans, which honestly is a good idea since she will otherwise be a loose canon. Most important of all is the fact that Oberyn will accompany Quentyn to Essos. In canon that part of Doran's plan never made sense to me. Sure the prospective husband should meet his bride, but sending Quentyn to Essos was a recipe for disaster. He should send Oberyn to Daenerys, who not only is familiar with the continent but also wouldn't need to hide his travel, given his reputation. While Quentyn would be a much better representative to King's Landing. He would have kept his head down, his mouth shout and his eyes and ears wide open. Kevan's portrayal was very nice. He always manages to find the exact right tone for his character. His inner thoughts regarding Jaime and Cersei make completely sense. After Tywin had to save House Lannister from Tytos weakness, now his legacy is threatened by his children's folly. I really hope you plan to have a scene between Kevan and Tywin where the former reveals to his brother just how royally the latter's children have screwed things up (literally so). While I have seen a few stories where Tywin learns the truth, I very, very rarely have seen that done right, and I really think you could make something out of that. That Jaime is utterly dismissive of the fact that House Lannister is at war because of him, that many have/will die and his own extended family is threatened doesn't seem to even occur to him is perfectly in character. Jaime's path to redemption, while very interesting to read about in the books, required quite a few of thing to make possible (the loss of his hand and pride, Brienne's character to spurn him on, his relationship with Cersei to sour and more). Assuming you don't plan to give him a similar humiliation tonga he will remain the arrogant asshole he is now. Naturally the peace treaty between House Stark and Lannister will heavily affect Renly's faction. His canon strategy of 'let the others bleed each other dry and I win by default' won't work here. Through how long it will take him to realize that is another matter. With the Riverlands secured, for the time being, Tywin will deal with Renly. Whether that is marching south to confront him, slowly bleed him dry, preparing a defensive strategy or something else is another matter. He will probably try and recruit an army from the Crownlands in any case. In canon that never happened. I assume the reason was manifold (the Crownland Houses have now love for Baratheon or Lannister, there was nobody with the presence to muster such an army, those on the borders wouldn't have obeyed anyway due to fear of leaving their lands undefended and more). However here he might do so. Stannis and Balon are the wild-cards now. Will Stannis decide to sit back and wait for Renly and Tywin to bleed each other. He might, he might not. More importantly Renly is far less likely to run and confront his brother at Storm's End when he has Tywin to contend with. Balon's actions will depend heavily on what Ned will do now. If they march home again (even if they fully intend to wage war with Joffrey later on) Balon may well decide to choose a different target, depending on how the war south plays out. If the Riverlands end up again part of this war, and with their luck that is almost guarantied, they will likely perform much better. The got steamrolled by the Westerlands because Tywin attacked with surprise on his side. Edmure called his banners much to late to put up a good defense and made mistakes in having dispersed many troops to deal with the 'raiders'. While no genius even Edmure can learn of his mistakes and having seen his lands suffer once will certainly fill him with the determination to do better in the future. Then there is the Wall PoV. Benjen being alive is nice and will certainly affect thing for the better. Without a Great Ranging and the disastrous casualties suffered there the Night's Watch will be in a far better position to deal with Mance. Not to mention if the Northern Lords return instead of remaining south Ned will certainly march to the Wall to do his duty. On the other hand, without a Great Ranging the Others may well decide to attack Mance's host. Which would end in a slaughter and significantly bolstering their army of wights. many possibilities there. Thanks for your good work. Until next time. |
