...and sadly, also In-Character.

Perhaps a bit less jovial, but that's understandable considering the circumstances.

And a bit overly open and honest -usually he speaks in riddles and half-truths.

But I'm gonna chalk that up to him being upset and slipping up.

(That said, I'm also gonna...*sigh*...-suggest- because links cannot be sent... that you find Brandon McNulty on YouTube and watch his videos on Bad Conversations vs good ones. You could benefit greatly from it I think, as could your story.)

I'd also say it's bizzare for a creature like a Dragon to hold the same moralisms as humans do. Modern humans even. (I doubt Dark Magic was seen as bad in the 1500s, when war and murder was a part of everyday life. And any weapon was a good one to have, and all that could carry one did.

...and they hanged people for stealing bread to avoid starvation and burned witches in order to save their imortal souls, so, y'know... morals change. A LOT.)

Nitpicking aside...

I really like this story. It has great potential to be a great story.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you plan to update it.

(And also that Harry grows up aware of how shitty a friend Ron is, and with the ability to put his foot down on Hermione's invasion of privacy, demands, and refusal to keep his secrets when it suits her.

She may be the most loyal friend he could ask for, but she's overly dependant on authorety figures, predjudiced as all hell, and refuse to accept that ANYONE can think differently than HER. (the houseelves comes to mind.)

If Hermione ever met a Masochist I bet her mind would fry. And then she'd be convinced he was abused as a child or brainwashed or something, because it doesn't fit her world view.)

(Also keeping my fingers crossed Harry will do what is natural for a person with whatever personality he grows up with to do.

From having a different wand that matches his personality, to have evetything from the troll to Voldemort be either ignored (if he is the type to not want to get involved) to it playing out differently than in canon -if THAT is what's most natural for him.)

Either way, I want to read more and see how it turns out! _
