! ahh this chapter was great! ooh man im excited for garp! i love how luffy is calling marco mango it fits his logic so well! i hope the nickname sticks! whenever the next chapter comes out im sure it will be as good as always, and good luck on your move :3

I adore the story so far. The hints about Marco's childhood are intriguing. I wonder how much the three adults have figured out/guessed about the kids. Izo might have been able to tell a little about their immediate past due to seeing their injuries but I'm not sure how much they've been able to tell about the boys themselves. Its obvious that sabo's not a blood relation by looks and demeanor, and Marco might have heard them mention jiji, dadan, and Makino so he knows that they could have family of some sort but I'm curious as to what they've put together. Or if they're going to recognize any of the kids full names when/if they tell them.
I also wonder what the kids reaction to whitebeard will be especially when the whole captainfather figure, idea is so prevalent. Ace has already made is feelings towards fathers pretty clear, and after everything that's happened I doubt Sabo's going to be any better. And even more surprised if luffy has any sort of awareness of what a father (or parents in general) are beyond a vague concept, if that.
I can't wait to see what you do with them.

Oh my gosh I loved this chapter!

-Hm. Ace makes a good point… it HAS been a really long time since the three boys slept together like that. Even before the whole Bluejam thing, Sabo had been absent in Hightown, and then when HE returned, it was Luffy’s turn to be gone. But now they’re back together. _

-Good, Ace! Take these promises to heart so that you don’t make stupid decisions like you did in canon!

-It’s nice to see Ace being polite and apologizing to Thatch. It’s kind of weird to see them with such an age difference here… I mean, I know it would have still been like this in canon, but the Ace that met Thatch there was already a young adult and could sort of be on equal footing—the Ace here is a child and has to depend on Thatch for protection, whether he likes it or not. He’s even admitting it himself.

-Listen to Marco, Thatch. Then maybe we can avoid you getting back-stabbed by Teach in the future. Assuming that sort of situation even comes up here, of course.

-Aw… It’s sweet to see Ace admitting that he was scared and that it’s okay to cry sometimes. Also, Luffy’s continual mispronunciation of Marco’s name amuses me.

-…Marco, why did you have to jinx it like that?! Of COURSE everything’s going to go wrong now! Also, it’s nice to see him expressing empathy for Ace and his plight, even though it has sad implications for Marco’s past.

ok...i need a mop...because you made my heart melt into mush with this chapter! i love how understanding Thatch, Marco, and Izo were, and the reunion between the ASL brothers! it was adorable, also i now really want to see their reactions when they learn how Sabo got his burns, i can only slightly imagine how much inner rage they will feel.

btw did Marco or Izo bring a Den Den Mushi with them? because if they did, couldn't they call Whitebeard, tell him what happened and ask his opinion...which would just end with him saying bring them over XD

also is Thatch going to talk to Ace about what happened to calm him down? because i think he needs it D:

i really love how you write ace's character like i'm sure luffy's 'death' changed him a bit and like i love how you balance ace being angry like he was before and being the loving brother we all love, so i'm really happy you write him like this? good and great and awesome? i love him really much

when sabo talked about giving up on ace with the others i'm just ugh YES i loved that part. and ace blaming himself, i'm sure he blames himself for others things too and like just ace no don't do that you precious child.

marco and thatch and izo are great? i love them. thatch is like perfect? and marco is awesome? bc the first for him that somebody hurt thatch and he just can't just let him go bc he is a child? i really loved that part and izo is awesome too anD LUFFY BEING HAPPY AND CRYING THANK GOD ace being protective hugging his brothers, and just true sabo said he gave up on ace and ace thinks he hurt sabo from pushing him away i'm curious if maybe they will talk or something about it

I also don't mind the fact you said there would be romance... Well, as long as it doesn't involve Luffy.. Cause well, he's Luffy? Romance with him always seems to be extremely out of character.

Can I just say that I absolutely ADORED your characterization of Sabo? Like, it was perfect. This chapter was amazing and I'm super excited for this story in general. Definitely my current fave of ASL stories.

My precious babies are going to give me a heart attack one of these days, excellent job at the emotional rollercoster, and the almost fluff was heartbreaking and wondeful! I really love how you portrayed Ace's break without using his POV, and using Sabo to show how Ace is (not) dealing with Luffy's percieved death while also displaying how it affects Sabo's own mental state was pretty awesome! Also like how you brought all of this together with Dragon being the invisible driving force behind all of these meetings/reunions, very nice! I can't wait for the next chapter! Thanks!
