In my opinion this is a suitable closure for Sweets and Daisy, and at the same time the beginning of something new. It was that was missing in the last chapter. How strange that I understood this only after reading this very chapter... The scene with Booth is also in place. I really like it all!

I don’t want this to end! And I know that it has to, and there can't possibly be the happy ending that I want there to be, but I'm just too endlessly attached to 'old' Sweets. I can feel this story like a twist deep in my stomach, it's really cleverly done.

A conversation with Brennan indeed is what was needed! She is probably closest to understanding his current state of mind (maybe her situation was fundamentally different, but she knows the difficulties of linking two lives together).
