| MirielOfGisborne chapter 1 . 7/8/2015
Yup, this is how families should behave when elders are no longer able to take care of themselves :) They acknowledge the fact that it's going to be hell, but they take on the responsibility anyway and they all do their part. And it seems that, for Declan it will be an opportunity to face his painful break from Louise by going back to their house, and in this way sort of turn negative into positive because he'll be doing the right thing for his family.
For me, this story hits hard in the way I see Melissa and Norri, because the one other story I've read about them before was the one when they met. They were still young then and everything worked just fine. And now, boom, I'm at the end. Age had wreaked havoc with both of them, and I don't know what's more painful: Norri being in physical pain, or Melissa's mental illness. It's true, getting old really sucks, but I guess it's a fact of life for most of us.

I think you need a second chapter - what is Norri going to say about this?
