This story was so lovely and I loved getting to know the Shirleys! To think of all those lovely children taken from their literary life due to illness. I hope you someday go back and edit as it was sometimes a bit hard to understand with missing words here and there. And Principal is your pal! I think you had it spelled as Principle through the whole thing. I'd love an epilogue! I'm not ready to let these characters go yet!

After reading this for the second or third time, I'm more convinced than ever that this episode is terribly inconsistent with Gil's personality. It hurts just to read the words even knowing it will work out. You really can be a rascal sometimes and, by the way, your long stories are grand!

Ok, I just finished Becoming Jane a couple of hours ago, and I come here because I'm not ready to let this universe yet... and then I read this scene between Walter and Anne, he smiling at her 15 years old girl, and just coming from the end of becoming Jane, with she around her later thirty's, felling flaterred with Gilbert on the "young doctor" thing.

I just feel a sort of longing, nostalgia, homesickness... I feel as Is I been watching this characters growing up and changing, and becoming trought a hole lifetime.

You don't have an idea how much I love this story, (and all of your stories for that matter).

ok, I LOVE this A/U! It's so creative and I love how you incorporated so many details. It took me 4 days to read this bc I have no life and I'm homeschooled and I never sleep! But I loved it so much! I have almost read all of your stories. Every single one has made me cry at least in like every chapter. This one made me cry out of happiness haha And I was like so angry at Roy bc of that whole situation. But I'm not even kidding I cried when they kissed the first time, and thn when they opened up to each other, and OF COURSE when they got married (in this chapter) and like so many other times haha. think like 5 days ago I stayed up until 7:30 in the morning bc i was reading this (i also drank too much black tea but that's beside the point).
