Reviews for Vengeance
Fierblaze chapter 10 . 7/5/2023
I really preferred the first couple of chapters, with WhiteRose and Bumblebee angst/love
Fierblaze chapter 9 . 7/5/2023
You have a lot of interesting ideas, but this Pantheon AU really doesn't make sense.
iChaos chapter 33 . 1/12/2023
That was a creative story. Downright brutal at times but overall pretty good storytelling. Besides the typos, I don't have much constructive criticism. It would have been helpful to see more background information about the nature of Ozpin and the rest of the pantheon, especially Cinder. As for the characters, I was most intrigued by Raven because she is still such an enigma. Pyrrha was also compelling, but in a more depressing kind of way. Out of everyone though, I feel really bad for Blake. Her story was just tragic, and she totally brought Yang down to her level. I kept expecting Weiss and Ruby to completey fall apart and betray each other. Either that, or Winter would have been in league with Cinder the whole time. If that had been the case, I'm guessing that it wouldn't have ended well for anyone.
iChaos chapter 29 . 1/11/2023
Is it weird that I want to defend Raven?
iChaos chapter 28 . 1/11/2023
Er, it's great to see you Rae, but aren't you working for Cinder? Or was she just using the opportunity to go after Ozpin?
iChaos chapter 27 . 1/11/2023
Jesus H. Christ. Is Pyrrha completely out of her mind, or not? What really happened to her in that laboratory?
iChaos chapter 24 . 1/11/2023
What the heck just happened to Pyrrha? If I understand this correctly, then Ozpin and Cinder and their contemporaries were all mortal humans at one point. Has Pyrrha somehow become whatever they are?
iChaos chapter 17 . 1/10/2023
As pointless as it is to review one random chapter in the middle of a completed story, I just can't help but see a lot of similarities between the Atlas arc and the incredible Mistborn novels by Brandon Sanderson. Up until now it seemed largely coincidental, but in this particular chapter Ruby and Wraith could have been Vin and Elend. Chances are that if you ever see this review you won't have any clue what I'm talking about, but seriously, it's uncanny. Personally, I highly recommend checking out Sanderson's work, it is absolutely fantastic. Don't get me wrong though, the plot of this story is also quite captivating and the writing is good so I have been enjoying the read for sure.
Pancake House chapter 33 . 7/18/2022
Absolutely loved this story it's such a different take on the RWBY verse. I've read other RWBY war fics but with your story you explore the other side with R/W being in Atlas away from the fighting and playing the social politics game.

My favorite plotline has to be the Balls as this is the first fic I've read that really delves into the differences between Ruby and Weiss. Being born to completely different societies is often overlooked in many WhiteRose stories and you captured that feeling. Not to mention their morals are inevitably going to clash once Ruby finds out what Weiss's job entails. Even though they love each other I'm always nervous reading just waiting for the inevitable fallout.

Also Ruby's lack of self confidence when surrounded by so many beautiful people was really solid. She's so out of her element I couldn't help but feel bad for her every time she went to a ball and was casually insulted. Your writing was really relatable in how she judges herself, she knows she's not unattractive or ugly just when surrounded by people like Weiss/Winter she can't help but feel lesser.

With all of that said I can't wait to start the next part and see how you connect all of these storylines together. My number one question before I begin though, how did everyone find out Amber? I reread some of the previous chapters and have absolutely no clue. Lunaria having a semblance and using it on Ruby during their dance is my only guess.
Guest chapter 30 . 2/21/2020
JNPR story arc is definitely my favorite. I wish Pyrrha hadn't been made to be so psychotic, though. Hopefully that's fixed when they do what they do in Ch.30.

I hope the ending to the series isn't too dark, though. I like darkness when it is resolved. Not necessarily live happy ever after, but at least to have learned to live happily despite still suffering. To be able to be truly happy despite suffering, you have to believe that life doesn't end in death. Life is meaningless and fleeting if we all end up in a void. Love won't be remembered, evil will go unpunished; good or bad mean nothing. That's why, despite not being sure it exists, we HAVE to believe in some sort of afterlife. If you're happy and don't believe in it, it's because you're fooling yourself, and at some point, those lies will crumble and the truth will be laid bare. I don't know if God exists, but it's my only hope, and that hope isn't baseless. The things I've heard from so many different people... I actually think God exists.
IBelieveInDestiny chapter 20 . 2/20/2020
I liked this chapter, but I admit I didn't like the end. I don't like it when drama is created from entirely preventable situations. Blake could have told Yang right then and there that she hadn't caused that scene, but she didn't, only for the sake of creating drama. It's cheap, honestly.
Guest chapter 17 . 5/23/2019
Someone has been reading Mistborn

Wraith is dreadfully similar to elend venture
impeccablesin chapter 24 . 12/16/2018
Stupid is what this chapter is, as is everything with Pyrrha in this story. She is not Magneto, and having her now be some ultra superhuman on top of it just utterly ridiculous.
sinnohs chapter 22 . 1/24/2018
ik this story (series) has been finished for a super long time but everything i've read has been amazing so far and dare i say better than canon? :p i love the level of worldbuilding and the characterization you've given to everything & everyone in this story, it's just. wow. all the praise for how you handled team rwby's...reactions...to the fall of vale. it's really amazing! the emotional parts all actually manage to evoke emotion and things like that interrogation scenes were super uncomfortable but i guess that was the point so kudos :') i get a lot of mistborn (by brandon sanderson?) vibes from it tbh, like with some terminology (Snapping, pyrrha's Pushing and Pulling on metal, & the atlas ball scenes and whatnot) and honestly that makes it all the better. i also love the mythology you've built up between ozpin (who btw can i say i love how you've characterized him in this story, bc he's always given off - to me at least - a super slimy & two-faced vibe, especially in the last couple canon volumes but idk idk) and cinder and all those people. anyway yeah this is one of the best fics in general i've ever had the pleasure to read and i'm looking forward to seeing how it all pans out!

Have you ever thought of publishing this as a real book?
