excellent description of the court case and nice play of stopping the kiss, quite right as you said, daddy's crimes were worse.
Good reasoning in the case of your description of the sexual assault's, I have actually stood in court and heard someone say similar, "If she didn't want raped why was she in a mini and low cut top... she was asking for it and I gave her it..." and I swear he believed what she was wearing made it ok... we even had a guy on the same jury who argued that it wouldn't have happened if she was dressed 'Decent'... with seven women in the room he was lucky not to get murdered.

Oh, that was so bad... letting poor Bella die, oh, no... wait if she died in Azkaban, how could Sweeny throw her in the oven... then again, that was what, the 1780s Sweeny killed her - so, no you are quite correct... I had fun reading this chapter... but Bella really is my favourite... standing with ex wife one she was almost sane...
The tal with the grey lady was very good, and what you did with the come and go room was also good - love your Luna, quirky as always.

I can't leave this one alone, and many American writers are guilt of the same error... In the UK (Scotland, England, Ireland, and Wales) there is no such thing as a Graham Cracker... the closest we have is a digestive biscuit (Cookie). Also, British Marshmallows do not toast, they would melt and drip off a stick... and American chocolate? Oh, dear... Yank stomach's are so much more forgiving... I swear, one Hershey bar given by a friend in New York had me on the toilet in my hotel for three days... and there is no one other than a visiting American who would know what a S'more was... Kemp from L.A over on a visit tried to show us S'mores... he wasn't paying attention - result third degree burn when molten liquid marshmallow slid from stick to leg... We all thought he was demonstrating a crazy new dance from the colonies...

I love this version of Sirius - a real Black. Putting the lawyer in his place was priceless. I would ask for one question under truth serum, "If you had been ambushed in a corridor by six Gryffindor's, and tortured, what punishment would you demand for them?"

Nicely done, very believable ambush, and Draco having problems with Harry and Hermione's given names was a nice little touch. Draco's conversation was also well done and quite in character. Good chapter, good flow to the story...

Alas poor Vernon, verily did Harry know his fist well... Wither tis better to urinate on his grave or just spit, that is the question... ah, tis better to spit rather than be arrested for urinating in a public place.
Great chapter, I loved it, and Harry's reaction to the news is so in character
Something that goes back to Logic and wizards... and Harry translating the diary... I had a story on my old phone I wrote a long time ago, and it was in a weird format... I set the phone on 'Text to Speech' and the laptop on 'Speech to Text' and go! Correct me if I'm wrong but wizards have Dictaquills, yes? So, Harry talks, the Quill writes - problem solved... Simples...

Nice Party - where's the whisky... (Name that Movie...)
great chapter, very interesting, and flowed well. Balance was perfect. Just enough conversation, and not too heavy.
(There's that word again, heavy! Is there something wrong with gravity in the future?)
I'm still enjoying it... but what's happening with Voldy, he must be spitting bullets... he ain't had a mention in quite some time. Is he still possessing insects? Oh, Oh, look out Rita... don't let the bad guy 'bug' you... (can you picture the articles VoldySkeeter would write?)

I my humble opinion, best chapter so far. The writing was excellent and easy to follow, the whole chapter was a fun ride from start to end. The trial of Lucius was interesting, the visit to the Goblins was very well done, the meeting with Slughorn was well thought out and well written, in short, I loved it... the chapter as a whole had a feel good factor to it that cheered me up and had me smile at different bits - even though I really think the game of quidditch was JK worst blunder... What was she smoking (or drinking) when she came up with quidditch? No, I'm wrong - her worst crimes were pairing H/Gin and Hr/Ron... but her story, her way - ARGGH! H/Gin, shoot me now! Is it wrong for me to ignore all H/Gin and Hr/Ron stories... Now, Harry/Fleur, Harry/Tonks, and Harry/Bellatrix... Yummy...
I hate being old - it's so hard to find older women to chase... their Zimmer frames are so noisy as they run... ;-)

It's a good chapter, but so much detail I found my mind wandering... and it feels loooong. Normally I can remember things that go on (or things covered in five chapters) but this one has a Confundus charm on it because my mind can't seem to remember details. Could just be I have a real problem with Xmas... I'm sure I enjoyed it till I was around 20, but as the last 50 years flew past it's now, like my birthday, Just another day... (Could be too many grandkids... and my aversion to the word 'ONLY' as in, "Grandad! it's only £120... if you hadn't wasted all that money on food, you could have bought me that." and yes - word for word... lets see if Mr Greedy likes the pyjamas from Costco this year...

Now that was a busy chapter, well written and informative. I could almost feel Draco's discomfort at the ceremony, and almost expected a moan about how he was the Black heir... and Ron growing up - that's a scary thought... Nymphadora not moaning about her name, and a possible Metamorph Harry... yep, busy chapter.

And we're back to excellent and imaginative writing. Very well paced out with quite logical questions and a well thought out dialogue.
Surprised no question from Draco along the lines of, "But Salazar only wanted Pureblood children, didn't he?" "No, young hatchling, At the time I'm talking about there were few what you call purebloods. Each house had an even share of what you call Muggleborn and Halfblood."
I remember a story (one-shot) where Harry was captured and asked Voldemort where the first wizard came from, and it ended with a baffled Voldy and a hall full of Death eater killing each other... (The first wizard was pureblood - no, if he was first then his parents were muggle)

Okay... the total lack of logic in this chapter is astounding. We found you because we couldn't find you in a place where we got into because it's a place we can't get into... you were alone in a place where no one can find you, so even though we found you you were in danger because we found you in a place where you can't be found? What?

Another five chapters, well worth the read, just gets more interesting as it goes on. Plenty of action, the trials and details of the trials was entertaining, the Malfoy attitude was very canon, and I think the setting of lethal wards very in character. The handling of Umbridge was excellent. I like the character of Sirius and Remus, and even Snape is well done.
| jaqmaq77 chapter 45 . 12/22/2021
Wow, last five chapter have moved the story a considerable distance.
Well written and easy for Daft Morons like me to follow the action...
(sneak in a reference to one of my Fav unfinished stories, 'HP and the Daft Morons' by Sinyk)
I love the way the story twists and turns, it's like having a puppy or a kitten, (lots of little surprises all over the place.)
I would say keep up the good work... but, Duh! its complete...
| jaqmaq77 chapter 40 . 12/22/2021
It's a pity there was no Goblin called Jalad... Then the chapter could have been called 'Darmok and Jalad in the Chamber...
I can never watch the HP movies and not see 'A Man Called Horse'
But Alan Rickman... will be missed... I loved him in 'Dogma' and 'Galaxy Quest' but my all time Rickman has to be 'Sweeny Todd' and 'Harry Potter' But best over the top is 'I'll cut his heart out with a teaspoon.' 'Why a Teaspoon?' Because it will hurt more!'
But for me, it has to be 'Quigley down Under'
