Oh that can't be the end! Such a wonderful story that I don't want to leave it. I just loved how you fleshed out Dwalin's character.

I went back and re-read (again) your Hearts in Stone story. You are a great writer and I'm looking forward to your next Hobbit inspired tale.

Will they be having a chapter about Liv getting pregnant? Or will you do something in another story about them? Ireally really really love this!

Wow, that was a very exciting battle and good for Bard for coming to help. I am glad they are working together now.

Oh I could just feel Liv's worry and frustration with not knowing but still having to hold it together until Dwalin showed up. Then to have to fix everyone else first before he would let her see to him...well, let Oin see to him. ha ha.

I am so happy they got married and will live happily ever after. My only sadness was that Thorin, Fili and Kili were not there to see his joy and tease the loving tar out of him. You know they would have too.

Wonderful story and it is tales like these that gave me a whole new outlook on Dwalin. Fine job, very well written and very well received.

Awww, Dwalin wants kids! And yes, they WILL be a handful, but I think that one stern look from their papa and BLAME, instant angels. Ohhhh, he should name is first two Fili and Kili...and his first daughter Thorina. ha ha ha ha ha.

Loved the whole 'dinner at my place scene' He is trying so hard to 'do right be her' and perform all the customary things a good dwarf should. I really enjoy courting customs. So much fun to dream up and write.

OH NO, this can't be good, not at all. Bad orcs! Now Dwalin is going on a suicide mission when he finally has a reason to stay alive!

Yeah. I sat here and read all 13 chapters at once. Your writing is wonderful. You have me laughing and then crying (his memories of training Kili? Sob!). Truly enjoying getting to know Dwalin better.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this story! This look at Dwalin is wonderful. I've chuckled and smiled at "unknowingly cute Dwalin" and almost cried at how heartbroken he is over the loss of Thorin and the boys. Positively great job!

Now I'm going to keep reading until I finish what you've posted so far; it is a Friday evening after all. :)

I find it jarring that Oin is portrayed as "old". There is only a few year's difference between him and Dwalin. Three years younger?

Quite good. I like the description of life in Erebor. A moments it reads like a harlequin romance book, but I suppose that it is just staying true to the genre.
