Well, you definitely know how to write at a level that keeps me reading, mostly to see if the story becomes definitively better or worse. It's the only thing that has kept me reading this far, but I'm done. I hope you're able to finish this story in a satisfactory manor.

Your story reminds me of the Bechdel test, especially when talks of WW2 are interrupted to ask Theia about her Hogsmead date.

This chapter has to be your best one yet, there was a spark of life in Theia but it seemed to disappear quickly. This love story reads more like conditioning.

I feel like Slytherin is a poor choice for Theia, not because she doesn't fit. It feels like the final piece to remove any sense of autonomy she has.

Her only interactions for a month and half have been with the Black family. The Black family had almost adopted her immediately. She agreed to a betrothal contract after 18 days. She needs permission to interact with other wizards (this one is more time appropriate but still bothers me). It's like you're removing any chance for her to anything besides Orion's wife. Heck, you wrote that she explored the train but never bothered to have her meet anyone new.

It feels a little cheap that a betrothal contract was even considered this quickly, especially for a romance story. With her arrival date, Harriet has a just over a month and half before the school year starts. I mean, she doesn't even take time to think before making her decision.
