This story is so underrated... I love how you build tension like no other... Like the boardroom scene I wasnt sure if they were going to kill each other or jump each other's bones.

This ending I can't even ughhhh ...

I'm in love with this pair and of course can't find any other stories like this one. I love-hate you :(

I've never really been into Batman, and I've found you because of your Naruto works, but now I am in love with this pairing, crack ship or no. I need more of them from you. It's killing me. I love your writing so, so much. You make me ship things that have never even occurred to me. This has made my love for Tom Hardy (and subsequently, Bane) even stronger. It's 2 AM, I've read all your work, and I'm itching for more.

Re-read this whole story...again. Still left breathless by it. Couldn't review twice on the same chapter, a bit ridiculous, but anywho, just so you know, I did read the whole story through. Okay, back to the review:

PLEASE, for sweet baby Jesus, and for the love of food that Selina and I both place in pretty high regard, give your readers and reviewers an answer as to who the guy at the door is.

Also, while you're at it, feel free to throw in some more stories.

One reviewer captured what I couldn't say upon my first reading perfectly: you write so sensually. You make the reader hear/see/feel as the character does, and it is exhilarating and wonderful. Please, please, please, continue to write, privately and publicly. The literary world is better for it, and the people who escape to that world for our own reasons are too.

Pleeeeeeeaaaseee will you do a sequel? Inlove with this pair and there are so few good stories about them.

Oh. Ohhhh this was a hard ending to take. Why would you do this. You're cruel. Will there be a sequel?

Calming down now. It's him and I'm so sad we don't get to see them reunited. I know you warned us about the open ending but this was just so so so good. I want it to go on for another 100k words.

You've spoiled all other Selina fics for me. This was an incredible fic and totally worth putting off all the important things I was supposed to be doing today. Thank you for writing it. Thank you.

Such fire, such fire," she hears him say, as though his voice was far away and simultaneously right in her head. "I will regret you dearly..."

This parting line between. Them is just perfect. And the speed with which Selina rebounds from this - she's so self-interested, and its encapsulated here when she wakes up and is like, well now, how do I save my own ass. Better go pretend to be a lost girl from Gotham to the neighbours that I've been stealing from for days.

And here last line in this chap is one of her quotes from the movie I think. At least I can definitely hear it in Anne Hathaway's voice so either that or more great writing.

I loved loved loved this chapter. Finally they are on even footing, and Selina's every action didn't have to be calculated for future consequences. There were so many quotable lines - more subtle cat stuff, stolen kiss, just a man and almost a stranger again.

This was a great one about the mask line.
She brushes back and forth along this line, this boundary that divides the known from the unknown.

Your writing is so tangible. I don't really know how else to put it. It's so vivid I can imagine it as a movie.

I want you to know that I found Bane and Selina's convo in this chap extremely well thought out and profound. I've liked their quasi philosophical debates throughout this story but this one, where he draws paralelles between her culling and his on a larger scale, was great. I wish we could have seen her digest that revelation more but I guess in typical Selina fashion she skirts away from things that make her uncomfortable.

I like your action scenes at the end. Very minimal batman in this fic :) not a bad thing, just unusual. No hint of a real relationship between them which is too bad for us shippers out there.

And so Selina undertakes the greatest heist of her life, stealing a mass-murdering criminal mastermind from under the nose of the CIA, the U.S. military, and the 12 million citizens of Gotham who very rightly want him dead.

You've kept up the thieving imagery so well throughout the story and this is kind of the culmination of it.

This story has so few reviews for something as good as this... I'm normally a lazy reviewer but I'll make an effort.

I'm really impressed by how you made Selina such a cat... But not in the cheesy way where every 2nd word is her purring and using her claws or whatever. It's more subtle, its in her playfulness and Independence... Her stretching all the time, and the way she always climbs things to sit on them rather than sit like a normal person...

This chapter was fun - just pure banter between the 2 of them. Not only verbal but phyiscal. Like this line:

"Before Selina can answer, he annoys her tremendously by tossing her a small bottle of water."

Their interactions are great. I'm not sure canon!bane would be so patient with her. But in the context of this story... Which I know you said would be light since the start... It works and I believe it. Thanks for writing this.

This was better than I expected. and then you ended it like that. I liked it.
