Figured I'd leave another review at the midpoint, and then I'll leave another at the end. More of the same really: all the characterisation is great. Cause and effect flow well and feel natural, Dumbledore's characterization is particular is well done. I like the relationship you've crafted for the champions, all in all this is a really good Harry/Fleur meet up while being very true to Canon!Harry. Also, you're pacing for a full year story is absolutely on point.

I know I started this fic years ago but don't know why I stopped, must have been something irl that in the way. But really glad I've rediscovered it, you're writing feels very natural and Harry, Ron, Hermione come across as a very good team but still schoolchildren. I like the way you've written Lavender and the relationship, even though I'm aware it's going to end. Humor is good, makes me chuckle without trying to steal the spotlight. Top notch stuff.

What an amazing work! I love how you diverged from canon, even if you labeled this as a canon rehash. And let’s not forget the competent adults in the story! Of course, the best part was how believable and natural the relationships were.

This is a well written story, if a bit too heavy on the exposition in a few places. Besides that, I certainly appreciate the straightforward and gimmick-free style of the narrative. That being said, I am left with a definite sense of incompleteness. Clearly, there is potential for more.

I hate the idea of Harry dating Lavender because of her bust size. I already think of Ron as extremely shallow and a bit of a pig, based on his canon behavior; so his comment about Lavender doesn’t surprise me a bit. However, I thought perhaps Harry was asking Lavender because she had been friendly to him in COMC. For some reason, I always hope Harry sees girls as people who are worth something because they are friendly, or intelligent, or just likable. Oh, well …

I would honestly love to see a sequel with your characterisation. Especially Mr. Crouch who I have never seen as of yet stay alive after GoF

changes you make should change the story.
with only 3 champions, it makes more sense to not have the horntail- as it makes more sense for them to arrange for three similar dragons and for them to get the horntail at the last moment for harry.

and without fake moody, it would not make sense for the cup to be a portkey- after he was found, they would have made a check.

This was a great read. Nothing too crazy with the plot, but with enoufh deviations that I think it's still a fun read. I especially like the banter in the mundane moments, those between tasks or during lunch etc. I find it shows a bit of what they've learned at Hogwarts aside from the usual suspect of spells.
