honestly, I ship rose and scorp, gen and al, and liv and toby as much as the next person, but there are SO many different ships i could get behind. rose x gen bc they’re pure and gen is a fucking badass bitch with major bde, scorp x toby bc let’s be real i genuinely ship toby with every single person in this fic, al x toby who are ACTUALLY my otp don’t me their chemistry has been ridiculous from the party during chapter 17, scorp x gen because she will not put up with his shit and she is the only one he will bottom for, gen x liv bc they give off major wlw energy in all of their scenes together, rose x toby because they’re cute and based on the last chapter they would play chess together and are both chill ppl, rose x liv bc they can bitch about what a dumb boi scorpius is, scorp x al bc they’re both hot and would have hot sweaty quidditcj sex sorry i don’t make the rules, oop i forgot gen x toby but they would work too, i actually have a soft spot for liv x scorp esp with their end scene but we do not stan toxic relationships in this house. i guess i don’t ship liv x al bc i don’t see it but literally everyone else works. oh and we do not ship incest here so rose and al are out, vetoes are in (also don’t mind me while i cop the veto idea for spin the bottle in rl). you know what, i ship scorpius toby and al as a throuple and i ain’t fucking sorry.

The first time I read this chapter I was so overwhelmed I had to hold off reviewing until I had time to read it again. (Time was not kind to me). One of my favourite recurring things in this story is how all knowing McGonagall always is. She’s a wise woman after all, and all the little nuances in the scenes with her have been perfect. But the thing that got me in this final chapter was just how hard she ships them, and I’m here for it. Whether it’s meant to be knowing, or meddling, or just possessing a warmer heart than she lets on, it was nice to see her final call on the matter at hand.
You managed to capture Rose and Scorpius’ longing and heartbreak with such an intensity, I do think that’s partially the reason I had to read it again...and again. I could literally feel my heart breaking along with theirs as they navigated their feelings, insecurities while skating around one another, STILL apparently oblivious to how the other feels. These babies need to hit the books... of love.
All the other resolutions resolutioning is probably a close second moment (moments?!) in this final chapter for me. Scorpius&Liv, Scorpius&Toby, Al&Rose, Rose&Liv... just. Ah! You’ve created a masterpiece here. Nothing felt rushed at the end and not everything was a neat bow of water under the bridge. It felt so organic and believable.
And through all that, the level of fluff at the end there was a pure and joyous 100. You’re a superstar of the fan fiction world in my book. Outstanding.

Thank you so much for this lovely story. I’m sad that it’s over but the end really did it justice. I wish we could see how the next five years are going to go between all these characters. ALBUS AND SCORPIUS BECOMING BROS

I really enjoyed the story. It was a tad too angsty for my usual tastes but it was still enjoyable. Sometimes it was a bit incoherent, just small jarring things that take you out the story and make you wonder if you missed something. Kinda like, wait, when did that happen? And then a few paragraphs later you realize that I was never mentioned before then so you didn’t miss anything, but you already had been taken out of the story to wonder. Just a note.

Another thing that bothered me is the whole Liv/Scorpius/Toby thing. I feel like you wrote Liv inconsistently. At the beginning of the chapter Rose and her talk and she’s still in love with Scorpius and you get the sense that if Scorpius were to say “let’s try again” she would totally jump at the chance and try again, but then at the ball her and Scorpius talk and it’s like she’s just his friend again and completely in love with Toby?

I’m hoping there will be an epilogue where we get to see how Scorpius actually opens up to Rose. I want to see them talk about the issues more because honestly I feel like a few paragraphs about how he’s so happy doesn’t really make up for how miserable he seemed for the last few chapters. I mean, not being able to sleep properly for months because of how terrified you are doesn’t really scream healthy relationship to me. And a single line about “you can’t run away again” kinda makes Rose seem like she’s going to be just as insecure about the whole thing. I get that they’re teenagers and figuring it all out but... Seems like it’s not really a HEA yet is what I’m getting at. And I’d like to seen them actually get to their HEA.

i can't believe its finally over. I've been in love with this fic since the Christmas Ball. Squealing for every chapter (and getting disappointed when it was just a cookie). Please consider a oneshot with the Scorpius patronus reveal or a epilogue of 10 years later. Either way, you are already a favorite/followed autor so you definitively have a fan here for what ever project you decide to embark. Best of luck!

what would u consider scorpius' biggest fear

I just finished rereading the fic and I can't believe Liv really wanted to have a romance with a guy like Scorpius. I mean I know they say love makes you blind but Scorpius was straight up selfish, toxic and even abusive. I can't blame her for cheating on him but also I cannot understand why would she fall in love with someone like him in the first place.
I love Scorpius as a character btw but his behavior towards Liv was just disgusting.
Also I don't think Liv is in the right for cheating on him. The decent thing to do was just break it off.
And finally they are both terrible friends to Toby. I honestly think they owe him an apology for being trash friends.
However I gotta say, despite being so flawed Scorpius and Liv are easily the best written characters in the fic.

I need Scorpius’ character profile. I thought he was way too edgy and stuck-up at first but now he is my favorite character.
